Phentarmine is a diet pill trying to pose as an equal to Phentermine (a prescription weight loss medication with excellent results). Don’t be fooled; Phentarmine is NOT the same as Phentermine and has not been proven to cause weight loss. This Phentarmine review will explain the ingredients contained in Phentarmine diet pills and will help you see if this is the right product for you. Phentramine comes in tablets and capsules, each with different ingredients. Thus, this Phentramine review will detail only the Phentramine tablet.

Phentarmine Ingredients

Phentarmine proprietary blend (532 mg)
L-Phenylalanine is a feel good ingredient. There is no research to show Phenylalanine actually causes weight loss.
Synephrine HCL has been shown to contribute to weight loss. The important thing to note with Synephrine is the concentration–the higher the concentration the more effective it is. Since Phentarmine fails to list the concentration of Synephrine it contains, there is no way of knowing if the Synephrine in Phentarmine is enough to cause weight loss.
Theobromine is another mood enhancer; it does not contribute to weight loss.
Caffeine Anhydrous is simply dehydrated caffeine. Caffeine increases metabolic rate, leading to weight loss. However, Phentarmine dies not list how much caffeine anhydrous it contains.
Copper Sulfate
7-Keto (DHEA) contributes to weight loss when used in doses of 100 mg or more per day. Phentarmine does not say how much 7-Keto it contains, but it is extremely unlikely that Phentarmine contains enough 7-Keto to be effective in causing weight loss.
L-Carnitine has not been proven to contribute to weight loss.
L-Taurine is supposed to increase energy, but research does not prove it.

You will notice Phentarmine does include several great, proven diet pill ingredients. Unfortunately, Phentarmine fails to list how much of each ingredient is included so it is impossible to determine how effective it will be.

Phentarmine Cost

Phentarmine tablets cost $89.95 for a one month supply (which is supposedly a great deal from the regular price of $159). This is way too much for a diet pill, not to mention a diet pill that does not list how much of each ingredient it includes.

Phentarmine Marketing

The Phentarmine website tries to make it seem that Phentarmine is equal to Phentermine. Don’t be fooled by their lofty claims; there is NO scientific research to show Phentarmine contributes to weight loss.

Phentarmine Conclusion

This Phentarmine review finds Phentarmine tablets contain some great ingredients, but since the amounts are not listed, there is no way of knowing if they will work. Phentarmine tablets are way too expensive. Save yourself some time and money by taking a diet pill that includes proven ingredients in proven amounts.

Speed V2 is a diet pill that “gives an amazing thermogenic boost in and out of the gym” (website). This Speed V2 review details the ingredients in Speed V2 and reveals the truth about Speed V2–there is no proof that Speed V2 diet pills work and the manufacturer doesn’t stand behind this product to offer customers a guarantee.

Speed V2 Ingredients

Speed Complex 721 mg
Phenylethylamine is a mood enhancing ingredient. It does not cause weight loss.
Theobromine is used as a diuretic; it does not contribute to weight loss.
Evodia Fruit has been shown to cause weight loss in mice, but no human research has been done.
Quercetin
Cissus Quadrangularis has been shown to contribute to weight loss when combined with other ingredients, but it has not been studied on its own.
Bitter Orange (standardized for Synephrine) Synephrine is a clinically proven diet pill ingredient. However, when looking at Synephrine, the important thing to note is the concentration–the higher the better. Since Speed 2 fails to list the concentration of Synephrine it contains, there is no way for this Speed V2 Review to determine if the Bitter Orange/Synephrine in Speed V2 diet pills is enough to contribute to weight loss.
Geranium Oil Extract
Piperine allows the body to absorb more nutrients. However, there is no research to prove that Piperine actually contributes to weight loss (although there is no research showing the opposite, either.
B12 is important to a healthy lifestyle, but it does not cause weight loss.
You will notice Speed V2 diet pills contain only ONE proven diet pill ingredient (Bitter Orange/Synephrine), and there is no way of knowing the concentration included in Speed V2.

Speed V2 Price

You can find Speed V2 diet pills online for as little as $26.99 for 90 capsules. If you take the recommended 3 capsules per day, one bottle will last about a month. Although this is about average for a diet pill, there is no proof that Speed V2 actually works, so any amount is too much to pay for Speed V2.

Speed V2 Guarantee

There is NO manufacturer’s guarantee for Speed V2. The Speed V2 website says the following:

“This site and the materials and products on this site are provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.” Why would anyone want to buy a product that the manufacturer doesn’t have enough faith to back up? Don’t bother with Speed V2; it’s not worth your time or money.

Speed V2 Affiliate Program

Speed V2 has an “Affiliate Program”. That is a fancy way of saying it is multi-level marketing (a pyramid scheme). In other words, if you get other people to sign up to buy Speed V2 you get commission. Any company that has to use these practices should be questioned. There is no reason to believe Speed V2 will cause weight loss, so why would you con people into buying it?

Speed V2 Conclusion

This Speed V2 review finds there is no reason to even think about buying Speed V2. There is no reason to believe it will actually cause weight loss, so don’t waste your money on it.

Thermoloid is a diet pill that supposedly:

“BURNS FAT

CARB ABSORPTION

SUPPRESSES APPETITE

INHIBIT FAT/CARBS

INCREASE ENERGY” (website).

This Thermoloid review will challenge the claims of Thermoloid and reveal the distasteful marketing practices of Thermoloid to show you what you can really expect from this product.

Thermoloid Ingredients

Chromium (180 mg) has shown differing results in clinical trials. Until more conclusive research is done, we cannot recommend chromium as a diet pill ingredient.

Proprietary Thermogenic Blend (990 mg)

Green tea has been shown to contribute to weight loss. However, Thermoloid fails to disclose how much green tea it contains so there is no way of knowing if the green tea in Thermoloid diet pills will be effective.

Caffeine anhydrous is no different from regular caffeine. It does contribute to weight loss when included in the correct amount. Since Thermoloid includes caffeine anhydrous in a proprietary blend, this Thermoloid review cannot determine if there is enough caffeine anhydrous to contribute to weight loss.

Yerba mate has been shown to contribute to weight loss only when combined with both Damiana and Guarana. Thermoloid does contain Guarana, but it does not contain Damiana.

Guarana has been shown to contribute to weight loss only when combined with both Damiana and Yerba Mate. Thermoloid does contain Yerba Mate, but it does not contain Damiana.

Theobromine is used as a diuretic; it does not cause weight loss.

Citrus Aurantium contains Synephrine, a clinically proven diet pill ingredient. The important aspect of Synephrine is the concentration–the higher the concentration the more effective the Synephrine is at contributing to weight loss. Unfortunately, Thermoloid fails to list the concentration of the Synephrine it contains.

White willow is an anti-inflammatory; there is no evidence that it contributes to weight loss.

L-Carnitine supposedly breaks down fats; however, there is no evidence to prove this.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) helps the body produce energy. Your body produces plenty of ALA on its own; you do not need to supplement with it.

Gugglesterones supposedly increase thyroid function. However, studies have shown conflicting results.

Bioperine helps the body absorb nutrients; it does not directly cause weight loss.

Fat/Carb Blocking and Appetite Suppressant Blend 432 mg

Chitosan has been proven to contribute to weight loss, but it has to be taken in doses of 3 grams per day. Thus, this Thermoloid review finds it is impossible for Thermoloid to contain enough Chitosan to be effective.

Hoodia gordonii does nothing for weight loss.

CLA contributes to weight loss. However, Thermoloid does not say how much CLA it contains.

Cha de bugre is supposed to be a miracle cure for everything from curing herpes to healing wounds. Research has NOT shown cha de bugre contributes to weight loss.

Evodia has been shown to cause weight loss in mice. More human research is needed.

You will notice Thermoloid diet pills do contain several proven ingredients. However, since Thermoloid does not say how much of each ingredient is included, this Thermoloid review cannot recommend Thermoloid.

Thermoloid Price

Thermoloid diet pills cost $29.95 for 60 capsules. If you take the recommended 6-10 capsules per day, one bottle will last 6-10 days. This is EXTREMELY expensive for a diet pill. There is no evidence that Thermoloid will actually cause weight loss.

Thermoloid Guarantee

The Thermoloid website says nothing about a guarantee, which means there probably isn’t one. If you buy Thermoloid from another website, there might be a guarantee through that specific website. If you choose to buy Thermoloid, be sure you know what the return policy is; you will probably need it.

Thermoloid’s Racy Marketing

Thermoloid is made by Goliath Labs. They use nearly pornographic images to try to sell Thermoloid. If they had any confidence in Thermoloid, they wouldn’t have to use such demeaning marketing tactics. If you choose to buy or even research Thermoloid diet pills, make sure your children aren’t in the room.

Thermoloid Conclusion

Thermoloid diet pills contain some impressive proven ingredients. Unfortunately, they hide how much of each ingredient is included. If these ingredients were included in appropriate amounts, Thermoloid would be a great diet pill. However, since there is no way of knowing how much of each ingredient is included, this Thermoloid review cannot recommend Thermoloid.

Fenphedra Xtreme is an ineffective diet pill that employs unethical marketing practices to con people into buying it. They use the “Fenphedra” to get people to buy their product (since Fenphedra actually works). In reality, Fenphedra Xtreme is overpriced and will not cause weight loss. This Fenphedra Xtreme review will show just how Fenphedra Xtreme is trying to rip you off.

Fenphedra Xtreme Ingredients

Green tea (45 mg) has been shown to contribute to weight loss when taken in doses of 300 mg per day. This Fenphedra Xtreme review finds there is not enough green tea in Fenphedra Xtreme to cause weight loss.

Caffeine anhydrous is simply dehydrated caffeine. It does contribute to weight loss. However, Fenphedra Xtreme fails to list how much caffeine it contains, making it impossible to know if there is enough caffeine to be effective.

Acacia Rigidula (45 mg Methylsynephrine) has not been shown to contribute to weight loss.

Phenylethylamine HCL enhances mood; it has not been shown to cause weight loss.

Bitter Orange (25 mg Synephrine) Synephrine is a clinically proven ingredient. The important aspect with synephrine is the concentration–the higher the concentration the more effective synephrine is at causing weight loss. Since Fenphedra Xtreme does not say the concentration of synephrine it includes, there is no way of knowing if it will actually cause weight loss.

5-HTP is a mood enhancer; it does not cause weight loss.

Hoodia Gordonii, despite what many claim, does nothing for weight loss.

Cassia Nomane has been shown to cause weight loss in rats, but no human studies have been conducted.

Theobromine is used as a diuretic; it does not contribute to weight loss.

Yohimbine HCL does contribute to weight loss, but Fenphedra Xtreme diet pills hide how much Yohimbine they contain.

L-Tyrosine contributes to weight loss when taken in doses of 500 to 1500 mg per day. It is unlikely that Fenphedra Xtreme contains enough Tyrosine to be effective.

Naringen

6,7 Dihydroxy Bergamottin (Fruit)

Glucuronolactone

5 Methoxytrytamine HCL

Passion Flower

Valerian Root

St. John’s Wort

Don’t be impressed by the long list of ingredients contained in Fenphedra Xtreme diet pills. It most likely means there are only trace amounts of each ingredient included. Fenphedra Xtreme does contain a few proven ingredients, but they hide how much of most ingredients they have included (besides green tea, which is not included in a high enough amount).

Fenphedra Xtreme’s Unethical Marketing

Fenphedra is a diet pill that has experienced great success. By including the name “Fenphedra” in their product, Fenphedra Xtreme is banking off the likelihood that customers will connect them with the original Fenphedra and bring them more business, which is likely to happen.

So, let’s get a few things straight:

Fenphedra Xtreme is NOT made by the same company as Fenphedra.

Unlike Fenphedra, Fenphedra Xtreme hides the amount of each ingredient they include, making it impossible to determine how effective Fenphedra Xtreme will be at causing weight loss.

Fenphedra Xtreme does not offer any guarantee of their product; Fenphedra stands behind their product, offering a money back guarantee.

Fenphedra is a legitimate diet pill that we highly recommend. In contrast, we recommend staying away from Fenphedra Xtreme.

Fenphedra Xtreme obviously doesn’t have much going for it since it has to rely on a legitimate product to bring business.

Fenphedra Xtreme Cost

Fenphedra Xtreme diet pills cost $73.73 per bottle, with one bottle lasting a month. This is ridiculous. There is no reason to believe Fenphedra Xtreme will actually cause weight loss. And since they are trying to bank off the success of Fenphedra and they do not offer any guarantee, I wouldn’t go near Fenphedra Xtreme with a ten foot pole.

Fenphedra Xtreme Conclusion

Fenphedra Xtreme uses pathetic marketing strategies to promote their subpar product. Don’t even think about taking Fenphedra Xtreme. Instead, try the real Fenphedra or one of our other recommended products. They are honest in their marketing and include proven ingredients in proven amounts.

This NV review will focus on the weight loss capabilities of NV diet pills to help you see just what you can expect in weight loss from NV.

NV Ingredients

Weight Loss Complex

Proprietary Blend 267 mg

Green tea has been proven to contribute to weight loss by increasing metabolic rate. Studies have found that for green to be effective, it has to be taken in doses of at least 300 mg per day. Since there are only 267 mg total, this NV review finds it is impossible for NV diet pills to have enough green tea to be effective.

Hoodia gordonii, despite the claims made by countless diet pill companies as well as celebrities, has NOT been proven to contribute to weight loss.

Theobromine is sometimes used as a diuretic. There is no proof that it contributes to weight loss.

Beauty Complex

Collagen is supposed to make skin look younger. Some diet pill companies claim it reduces body fat; there is no scientific evidence to back up this claim.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) is needed by the body to produce energy. However, the body produces plenty of ALA, so you don’t need to supplement with it.

Silica may actually cause drying of the skin.

Biotin is Vitamin B-7.

Coenzyme Q10

Energy Complex

Taurine is often added to energy drinks. However, studies have shown it does NOT affect energy.

Ginseng has been shown to contribute to weight loss in mice and rats, but more human studies need to be done to determine the effects on human weight loss.

Rhodiola Rosea may help improve mood.

The only clinically proven ingredient in NV diet pills is green tea. However, there is not enough green tea contained in NV to be effective in contributing to weight loss.

Thus, this NV review finds NV will not cause weight loss. You might experience skin improvements, but do not expect to lose weight by taking NV; you will only be disappointed.

NV Marketing

NV has employed Carmen Electra to be their spokesperson. Don’t be fooled; just because a celebrity endorses a product doesn’t mean it will actually work (look at hoodia, for example). The NV claims about weight loss are untrue; the science has proved them false.

NV Cost

NV diet pills cost $26.99 per month. While this is relatively inexpensive for a diet pill, considering NV contains only ONE proven ingredient (green tea), and it is not included in a necessary amount, there is no reason to pay anything for NV diet pills. You will only be disappointed.

NV Guarantee

The NV website says nothing about a guarantee, which means there most likely isn’t one. This is just one more reason to stay away from NV.

NV Conclusion

This NV review finds this is a subpar product. It contains only ONE proven ingredient and it is not included in a necessary amount. NV cannot substantiate their claims; the science proves them wrong. Save yourself some time, money, and grief. Go with a diet pill that includes proven ingredients in proven amounts.

Rapidcuts femme is a diet pill specifically for women. It supposedly can help you lose 9.9 pounds in 12 weeks (website). This Rapidcuts femme review will examine the ingredients contained in Rapidcuts femme diet pills to reveal how effective Rapidcuts femme is at causing weight loss.

Rapidcuts femme Ingredients

Vitamin B12 6mcg

Vitamin B6 1.2 mg

Chromium 49 mcg

Sensorilean (Target Release Ignite Complex) 753 mg

TARGET 167 mg

Sensoril Ashwandagha Extract, 32% Oligosaccharides (40 mg), 2% Winaferin-A (2.5mg), Banaba Extract, Cinnulun PF (10mg)

RELEASE 125 mg

Methylxanthine Concentrated green tea extract (92 mg), Yerba Mate green tea (10 mg)

IGNITE 461 mg

Catechin concentrated green tea extract (423 mg), White Willow extract, Theobromine

Vitamin B12 and Vitamin B6 have healthy benefits, but they have not been shown to contribute to weight loss.

Research done on chromium has shown mixed results regarding its influence on weight loss.

Banaba has been shown to lower blood sugar levels. Unfortunately, Rapidcuts femme fails to list how much banaba it contains, making it impossible for this Rapidcuts femme review to determine if there is enough banaba to be effective.

Green tea has been proven to contribute to weight loss by increasing metabolic rate. Studies show to be effective, green tea must be taken in doses of 300 mg per day. This Rapidcuts femme review finds there is enough green tea in Rapidcuts femme diet pills to contribute to weight loss.

Yerba Mate has been shown to contribute to weight loss, but ONLY when combined with Damiana and Guarana. Rapidcuts femme diet pills do not contain Damiana or Guarana.

White willow is an anti-inflammatory that supposedly has thermogenic effects. More research is needed to substantiate these claims.

Only ONE ingredient in Rapidcuts femme (green tea) is a proven ingredient contained in a proven amount. You would be just as well off buying green tea pills; they would have the same effect.

Rapidcuts femme Cost

Rapidcuts femme diet pills cost $29.99 for a one month supply (with a discount for bulk purchases). This is about average for a diet pill. However, considering the only proven ingredient in a proven amount is green tea, it would be cheaper (and as beneficial) to just buy green tea pills.

Rapidcuts femme Marketing

The Rapidcuts femme website has before and after photos and a testimonial from a “fitness model”. In a video on the website, they have the same women who they say is an “office manager”. Why is there a discrepancy; did they really think no one would notice it is the same person (and the same photo)?

Rapidcuts femme is supposedly specifically for women, but none of the ingredients suggest it should only be for women.

Rapidcuts femme Guarantee

The Rapidcuts femme website sayds they have a 30 day money back guarantee. However, they do not give ANY more information than that. We emailed the Rapidcuts femme customer service to find out about the guarantee, but we received no response.

Anopril is a diet pill which “can help control your hunger cravings with an appetite suppressant that far surpasses others. Users have reported it to outperform even their top prescription medications” (website). This Anopril review will determine how Anopril stacks up to the competition and what you can expect from Anopril diet pills.

Anopril Ingredients

Anopril diet pills contain 37.5 mg of a formula containing the following ingredients:

5-HTP is an amino acid known for its mood enhancing properties. It is generally thought that mood enhancement can encourage weight loss, but there is no specific scientific evidence showing 5-HTP contributes to weight loss.
Trimethylxanthine is caffeine, which has been proven to contribute to weight loss. Unfortunately, Anopril fails to mention how much Trimethylxanthine is contained in their formula, making it impossible to determine if there is enough to be effective.
Synephrine is another clinically proven ingredient. Again, the amount of synephrine contained in Anopril is hidden.
Citrus Aurantium actually contains Synephrine. It is interesting that Anopril includes (or at least lists) both Synephrine and Citrus Aurantium as ingredients.
Theobromine is a mood enhancing ingredient found in chocolate. There is no evidence that Theobromine contributes to weight loss.
L-Phenylalanine is an appetite suppressant which has been proven to contribute to weight loss. Anopril fails to disclose how much L-Phenylalanine is included in the formula.

Anopril Cost

Anopril diet pills cost $38.95 for a one month supply (with a discount for buying in bulk).

Anopril Guarantee

Anopril offers a refund only for unopened bottles. There is a $12 processing fee for all returned products. If the returned product is damaged, there is a $26 disposal fee plus the $12 processing fee. This “processing” fee (which they carefully point out is NOT a “restocking” fee), seems ridiculous.

Anopril Marketing

Anopril has some unique marketing practices. The Anopril website looks like prescription drug website. There are pictures of doctors on the website. Do not be fooled–Anopril diet pills ARE NOT endorsed by doctors.

In addition to making the website look like a prescription drug website, Anopril tries to compare itself with prescription weight loss medications. Anopril doesn’t stack up to FDA approved prescription weight loss medications.

Anopril Conclusion

This Anopril review finds Anopril is a typical diet pill. It contains a few proven ingredients but fails to list how much of each ingredient is included. Anopril is misleading in their marketing. Be sure to look for a diet pill that not only includes proven ingredients, but includes them in proven amounts.

Phentramin is a diet pill that will help you “enjoy the benefits of a pharmaceutical grade weight control aid without the necessity of a prescription.” (website)
They claim Phentramin does the following:

Decreases Appetite
Increases metabolism
Stimulates thermogenesis
Acts as a mild diuretic
Increases energy
Help regulate blood sugar levels

This Phentramin review will reveal the truth behind this product and help you determine whether Phentramin diet pills are right for you.

Phentramin Ingredients

Chromium – research falls on both sides of the fence with Chromium. Some clinical studies have shown that chromium is effective, while others have shown that it’s not. Its purpose is primarily to regulate blood sugar levels, which can help control weight problems.
Caffeine is proven to increase metabolic rate, leading to weight loss. However, Phentramin fails to disclose how much caffeine is included, so it is impossible to determine if it will be effective.
Hoodia Gordonii Cactus Powder – Hoodia is a popular diet pill ingredient, but there is NO clinical evidence to prove that Hoodia actually contributes to weight loss.
Magnolia Bark
Glucomannan is a dietary fiber which absorbs water and makes the user feel full. Studies have found that for Glucomannan to be effective, the user must take 1-2 grams per day. Again, Phentramin diet pills do not say how much glucomannan they contain so no one can know if it is enough to be effective.
Green Tea is a clinically proven ingredient which increases metabolic rate. However, Phentramin does not disclose how much green tea it contains. Therefore, impossible for this Phentramin review to determine if the green tea in Phentramin diet pills is enough to be effective.
Theobromine
Guarana extract has been proven to contribute to weight loss but ONLY when combined with damiana and yerba mate. Phentramin does not contain either of these ingredients. There has been no research to determine the effectiveness of guarana by itself.
Cha de Bugre is fairly common in fat burners. However, there is no evidence to prove that Cha’ de Bugre provides any benefits for weight loss (read: it likely doesn’t).
Maca Extract
L-Theanine
Banaba extract
Gugglesterones are supposed to increase thyroid function to promote weight loss. However, studies have had varying results.

Phentramin–no guarantee

The Phentramin website has something we have not seen before; Lazarus Labs (the Phentramin manufacturer) specifically says there is NO guarantee of any kind for Phentramin diet pills. In fact, in order for to place an order, you have to agree to the following conditions:

“I acknowledge that no guarantees have been made to me as to the results as there is no known product that gives 100% satisfaction to everyone, nor are there any guarantees against unfavorable results, risks or complications. I understand that I am buying this product with the full knowledge that I may not benefit from its use. I hereby release LazarusLabs.com and all of its employees and contractors from any and all liability whatsoever associated or connected with the use of any of their products and any adverse effect that I may suffer from consequently, if any, on account of the use of their products. I am solely responsible for any adverse effects I may suffer from taking or continuing to take any of these products. I am fully aware that NO refund is given if I change my mind and decide not to take the product or upon my physician’s opinion that I should no longer take the product.” (website)

Phentramin Marketing Tactics

Phentramin employs the use of multilevel marketing (MLM) techniques. In other words, you make money if you get someone else to sign up. The good news for those who choose to join into the MLM scam is that no one can return Phentramin, so you will make commission whether the customer likes it or not.

Phentramin Cost

A 30 day supply of Phentramin will cost $62 (assuming you take the recommended dosage of 2 capsules per day). While this is not especially expensive for a diet pill, Phentramin does not disclose how much of each ingredient is included. Thus, it is too expensive.

Phentramin Conclusion

This Phentramin review finds that Phentramin diet pills do include some proven ingredients. However, they do not disclose how much of each ingredient is included. The fact that there is no guarantee is disturbing. Why would you want to buy a product from a company that does not back up their product in any way? We recommend choosing a diet pill that is backed up by the manufacturer, one that includes proven ingredients in proven amounts.

SLIMQUICK extreme Ingredients

NutraTherm-X: 832 mg

Green Tea Extract (leaf)

Caffeine

Loranthus (aerial parts)

Theobromine

Hoodia (gordonii) (aerial stem)

Sesame extract (seed)

Pu-erth Tea (leaf)

Brown seaweed extract

Rasperry Ketone

Octopamine

Clary sage extract (root)

Dandelion

Uva-Ursi extract (leaf)

Bacopa (whole plant)

Guggulsterones E&Z

Evodiamine

Vinpocentine

Quercetin

cAMP

Yohim-Trim: Yohimbe 11-hydroxy yohimbine 4.5mg

Green tea is a clinically proven ingredient which contributes to weight loss. Unfortunately there is no disclosure as to how much Green Tea is included (it matters).

Caffeine has been shown to increase metabolic rate, leading to weight loss. However, SLIMQUICK extreme does not disclose how much caffeine is included in this product.

Hoodia is an overhyped ingredient that is surging through the diet pill industry. You should know that there is NO scientific evidence to show that Hoodia contributes to weight loss.

Studies show raspberry ketones induced weight loss in mice with a diet containing 2% of the total diet as raspberry ketones. No studies have been done on humans. Note: in order to take in 2% of raspberry ketones as your total diet you would have to take a ton (metaphorically) of these SLIMQUICK extreme diet pills. ((http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15862604))

Octopamine is closely related to noradrenaline, with effects akin to dopamine. It has become very popular on the internet as a slimming aid because octopamine “may mobilize the release of fat from adipocytes (fat cells).” The catch though, is that the fat released is promptly absorbed by other cells. There is no research to suggest that Octopamine is an effective weight loss agent.

Gugglesterones are supposed to increase thyroid function to promote weight loss. However, studies have had varying results.

SLIMQUICK extreme Cost

You will pay $36.99 for 120 liquid gels of SLIMQUICK extreme diet pills. If you take the recommended 6 liquid gels per day, you will be paying over $55 per month. This is too expensive for this product

Yohimbine comes from the bark of an African evergreen tree. It has been shown to increase fatty acid mobilization. It is also used to treat erectile dysfunction.

See our original review below. We were also duped by Fastin’s slick (dishonest, misleading) marketing.

A short history of the original Fastin

Fastin was originally sold as a prescription weight loss drug containing the appetite suppressing agent phentermine. In 1998 its maker, Smith Kline Beecham withdrew it from the market.

King Pharmaceuticals was the manufacturer/distributor of Fastin and, not wanting to lose the undeniably valuable brand name of Fastin that they had created, they sought to “reformulate” Fastin without phentermine.

How is Fastin Being Misleading?

There are several areas of extremely misleading marketing tactics that we can discuss, I’ll just highlight a few:

Under their “Why Fastin” headline they say, “Fastin is now available without a prescription. For the first time, consumers can puchase authentic Fastin with No Rx”. This leads consumers to believe they’re getting the original Phentermine HCL. They’re not. They’re getting Phenylethylamine HCL. (By the way, their typo of puchase instead of purchase, not ours — would you trust a website that doesn’t spellcheck but wants to put substances inside your body?)

The article by “Mark Wright, M.D.” entitled “Lose Weight Fastin” is a joke. He cites how Fastin is “better” in so many ways than the original prescription Phentermine, but he fails to give any research whatsoever. Doctors are very research-focused, so it’s surprising that this Dr. Wright fails to cite any research whatsoever.

Fastin uses the 37.5 mg number with intent to deceive because the original prescription Phentermine Fastin used 37.5 mg of Phentermine. This is blatantly misleading and dishonest.

The Company Behind Fastin – Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals

It’s good to see that they’re still registered with the state of Georgia (see the filing here). The CEO/CFO/Secretary is Jared R. Wheat. Jared was also the agent of American Weight Loss Clinic, Inc. which has now been dissolved, cancelled, or terminated (the records don’t specify).

Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals also sells Lipodrene, Lipodrene Xtreme, Anavar, Dianabol, and Stamina-RX. You’d think if Fastin is the end-all-be-all diet pill then they wouldn’t need to have all of these other weight loss products… whatever.

The fact that Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals website is completely broken doesn’t exactly instill confidence in their abilities as a business. It looks like the work of a 12-year old “web designer”.

Fastin’s Return Policy (We Look at this when they tout a moneyback guarantee)

They have a very weak 30-day return policy and it applies to only unopened bottles (this is fairly standard). We like moneyback guarantees that are lifetime, or at least 90 days.

Fastin’s Free-Trial Autoship Program

If you opt for the Fastin Free Trial then you pay $8.95 (which is a break-even for them most likely) and you’re then a part of the “Netnutri Fastin Diet Club”. You’ll then be on autopay for a two-month shipment for $139.90! That’s one of the most expensive diet pills we’ve reviewed (with the exception of Zantrex-3 and others by the rip-off artists at Basic Research).

Your first shipment comes quickly on the autoship, in 14 days, so you better cancel quickly if you want to cancel or you’ll be out $139.90 for two useless bottles of diet pills.

What does Fastin Actually Contain?

It’s a very small proprietary blend of basically Phenylethylamine. We’ve reviewed PEA and like it. What we don’t like about Fastin is two-fold:

Their extremely deceptive marketing tactics – if they lie during the sales process, what else could they be lying about?

Their weak formulation of PEA in conjunction with a bit of caffeine.

Fastin (New) Review Conclusion

Fastin’s manufacturer and distributor is dishonest. The product is average (meaning worthless) at best. We recommend you purchase a weight loss supplement from a company with a bit more character.

[What follows below is our original review of Fastin, where we focused on Phentermine because we were misled by Fastin and thought it contained Phentermine. We stand corrected, but incidentally, we felt the gloves needed to come off.]

Fastin is a weight loss medication intended to require a prescription. As of recently, it is also available without a prescription online. Unlike weight loss supplements, Fastin has been approved by the FDA as an appetite suppressing drug.

This means Fastin has been clinically studied and has proven to be effective in promoting weight loss. It is strongly recommended only to take Fastin when prescribed by a doctor. Fastin is intended to be a short term medication, so diet and exercise are also very important when taking this medication. Fastin, in addition to promoting weight loss, helps to elevate mood.

Why is Fastin only a short term medication?

Fastin contains phentermine, which has proven to be addictive. This is why we recommend only taking Fastin when prescribed by a doctor. If you choose to take Fastin without a prescription, be very cautious about how long you take it and be sure not to take more than the recommended dosage. If you begin to show signs of addiction get help as soon as possible.

What are the side effects of Fastin?

The list of side effects of Fastin is very lengthy. It is broken down into side effects that usually do not requre medical attention and those that do (the whole thing gives me the creeps to be honest).

Side effects that usually do not require medical attention:

a false sense of well being

blurred vision or other eye problems

changes in sexual ability or desire

constipation

diarrhea

difficulty sleeping

dizziness

dry mouth

fatigue

flushing

headache

irritability

nervousness or restlessness

nausea

sweating

unpleasant taste

Side effects that require immediate medical attention:

breathlessness on exertion

chest pain

depression or severe changes in mood

dry cough

heart palpitations

increased blood pressure

severe dizziness

problems urinating

vomiting

As you notice, these side effects vary from annoying to serious. Be sure to seek medical attention if you experience the side effects listed above. This is just one more reason we recommend taking this medication under a doctor’s supervision with a prescription. As with any other medication, side effects will vary from one person to the next. If you notice other serious side effects, be sure to report those to your doctor as well.

Fastin Review Conclusion

Fastin has been proven to be an effective weight loss medication. It has been approved by the FDA ((And that does still mean something…though it seems like only Big Pharma has a chance to get such approvals since the process is expensive)). Once again we stress that there is a good reason this has, until recently, been available only with a prescription. There is the possibility of serious side effects which would require immediate medical attention.

Perhaps more concerning, Fastin has been found to be addictive. It is intended to be a short term medication and should be used as such even if not taken with a prescription. While we like that Fastin has proven results as well as FDA approval, we hesitate to recommend it because of the serious side effects and
the possibility of addiction.
