What are the ingredients in Stimerex Thermo Rx?

The ingredients contained in Stimerex Thermo Rx diet pills are as follows

Proprietary Blend: 500mg
Citrus Aurantium (fruit)(17.5mg synephrine), acacia 70% extract (leaves), theobroma cocoa extract, phenylethylamine HCL, green tea extract, naringen (fruit), 3-dimethyl aminoethanol bitartrate, yohimbe extract (bark). Caffeine (anhydrous): 150mg

Directions: Take 1 capsules three times daily.

Citrus Aurantium contains synephrine. One study performed in December of 2007 looked at the lipolysis (fat loss) effects of Satsuma mandarin orange (Citrus unshu Mark) peel on the fat cells of rats (I know, it’s always rats). A high concentration of Synephrine was present in the peel and lipoloysis effects were present. The overall conclusion:

Acacia Rigidula is included in many diet pills. However, there is no scientific evidence showing it contributes to weight loss.

Phenethylamine is an alkaloid that functions as a neurotransmitter in the brain. Some people call Phenetyhlamine “The Love Drug” because it is included in chocolate but the question arises as to the validity of that claim because Phenethylamine is metabolized so quickly, it’s doubtful that any significant amount would reach the brain quickly enough to cause an effect. More human research is needed on phenethylamine.

Green tea is an ingredient which has been proven to contribute to weight loss.

Yohimbine comes from the bark of an African evergreen tree. It has been shown to increase fatty acid mobilization. It is also used to treat erectile dysfunction.

Caffeine has been shown to contribute to increased metabolic function and we readily support it as long as you pay attention to your own body’s reaction to it. There are a minority of people that react too much toward caffeine and are asking for sleepless nights if they ingest too much of it.  Note: Caffeine anhydrous is only dehydrated caffeine.

Stimerex Thermo Rx diet pills do contain some clinically proven ingredients. However, like countless other diet pills, Stimerex Thermo Rx fails to disclose the amount of each ingredient included in the “Proprietary Blend.” Thus, it is impossible for this Stimerex Thermo Rx review to determine whether or not this product is effective in causing weight loss.

One BIG red flag is the fact that their Proprietary blend is only 500 mg.

How much do Stimerex Thermo Rx diet pills cost?

One bottle of Stimerex Thermo Rx contains 100 capsules and costs $49.95. If you take the recommended amount of three capsules per day, one bottle will last 33 days. Although this isn’t necessarily expensive for a diet pill, because there is no proof that Stimerex Thermo Rx actually works, it costs $49.95 too much.

Is there a guarantee with Stimerex Thermo Rx?

The Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals website (Stimerex Thermo Rx manufacturer) explains that they give refunds only if the product is unopened and is returned within 30 days. Shipping fees are not refunded.  So… basically if you try the product and it makes you vomit, gives you uncontrollable gas, or just plain doesn’t work, you can’t get a refund.

Stimerex Thermo Rx Conclusion

Stimerex Thermo Rx diet pills are really no different than dozens of other diet pills. They contain some proven ingredients, but they are hidden in a “Proprietary Blend” to keep you from knowing how little of these ingredients is included. Look for a diet pill that uses proven ingredients in proven amounts.

Every once in a while (and sometimes, it really is a long while) I review a diet pill that I can actually support. Sure, there are a few things I’d maybe change about the marketing approach (like the almost-naked woman at the top of the Fentraphen site), but as for the actual formulation of Fentraphen? I like it. I actually like it.

What Impressed me first with Fentraphen was their Guarantee

Honestly, my first impression was helped a ton by the fact that Fentraphen offers a 90-day moneyback guarantee. The norm in the diet pill industry is 30 days. The reason 30 days works so well for a diet pill guarantee is because a lot of times, consumers will patiently wait to see if their diet pill actually works. When it doesn’t, they’re already past the 30-day guarantee. And when you have certain companies that never answer their emails (I mention this annoyance in many reviews quite often), it makes it even harder to get your moneyback.

Fentraphen does it differently — giving you 90 days to give the product a test run. I like that.

Guarantees are everywhere in the diet pill industry — but 90 days? This is a first.

Is Fentraphen an Alternative to Phentermine?

Fentraphen contains Synephrine and Phenylethylamine. These two in combination probably pose the best alternative to Phentermine that does not require a prescription. Let’s dig into the ingredients of Fentraphen.

Fentraphen’s Ingredients

• Synephrine is a stimulant that has been clinically proven as effective in weight loss. It is the active ingredient in Citrus Aurantium (also called “Bitter Orange”) and has been used as a stimulant for quite some time. A more in-depth review of Synephrine is available. The short of it is that Synephrine is one ingredient shown to work (there are plenty of ingredients included in diet pills that don’t).
• Phenethylamine is known as the “Love Drug”. I do think there needs to be more research specifically with Phenylethylamine to show it’s purported calming effects, but will leave this one for you to decide. You can read my review of Phenylethylamine for more information if you’d like.
• Chromium Picolinate is slowly gaining traction. It’s used to help regulate insulin levels, which will aid fat loss. There are studies supporting Chromium picolinate’s use in fat loss, but some studies showing no statistically significant results. I’m leaning more the direction of it being effective, since the studies deeming it effective have been more recent and are more in number (at least at the time of this writing). My review of Chromium Picolinate goes into more detail about this issue. I like the fact that Fentraphen has included it in their formula.
• Vitamin B-12 helps aid overall health. I wouldn’t lean on it for any weight loss results.

You’ll notice that Fentraphen does not contain any caffeine. If you get jittery from caffeine (which is actually a very effective weight loss stimulant) then Fentraphen may be your ticket. The Synephrine is a great stimulant, but doesn’t cause the jitters that may accompany caffeine supplementation.

Fentraphen’s Price

Fentraphen isn’t the cheapest diet pill around, the main reason being that they actually include the necessary amount of Synephrine to make the diet pill work. It’s still reasonably priced when you look at other comparables that I like (Fenphedra and Ephedrasil Hardcore).

The one thing you don’t want to do is just shop for the cheapest price. Then you’d get something like Miracleburn or Alli…and you wouldn’t lose a pound of weight.

Fentraphen Overall Conclusion

This is one of those rare times, when I actually like a diet pill that I review. Fentraphen stands above the rest with its effective ingredient profile and 90-day guarantee. I don’t have any qualms about recommending it.
