LipoFlush diet pills supposedly “dramatically decrease body fat, increase energy levels, preserve skeletal muscle, and provide major health benefits” (website). This LipoFlush review will dissect the exhausting ingredient list and reveal the truth about the research done on LipoFlush to show you that LipoFlush is not the product you are looking for.

Hydroxycitric Acid Update

On May 1, 2009 the FDA issued a warning to consumers to stop taking Hydroxycut-branded products. Over more than 7 years they have received 23 reports of health related issues with those taking Hydroxycut-branded products. The main health concern appears to be serious liver-related problems. Iovate Health Sciences Inc., the makers of Hydroxcut, have voluntarily recalled all of the products under question in the FDA’s report

Common symptoms of liver complications include:

jaundice (yellowing of the skin)

brown urine

light colored stools

unusual tiredness

stomach pain

itching

loss of appetite

weakness

vomiting

In light of the recent FDA warning concerning the possible dangers of Hydroxycut-branded diet pills, many believe that the associated health risks are likely due to the inclusion of the commonly used ingredient Hydroxycitric Acid, or HCA. And while according to the FDA, “The agency has not yet determined which ingredients, dosages, or other health-related factors may be associated with risks related to these Hydroxycut products. The products contain a variety of ingredients and herbal extracts.” you can never be too cautious.

So, while further study and research is needed to confirm the link between HCA and the liver problems, until proven otherwise any products that contain HCA are no longer recommended on this website.

LipoFlush Ingredients

Vitamin D3 (100 IU) does nothing for weight loss.

Vitamin B5 (10 mg) does nothing for weight loss.

Vitamin B6 (25 mg) does nothing for weight loss.

Vitamin B12 (1000 mcg) does nothing for weight loss.

Folic Acid (1000 mcg) does nothing for weight loss.

Biotin (100 mcg) does nothing for weight loss.

Potassium (99 mg) does nothing for weight loss.

Calcium (415 mg) does nothing for weight loss.

Magnesium (200 mg) does nothing for weight loss.

Zinc (10 mg) does nothing for weight loss.

Chromium (50 mcg) has shown varying results in clinical studies.

Choline (650 mg) supposedly reduces body fat, but studies do not back up this claim.

L-Carnitine (450 mg) has not been proven to contribute to weight loss.

Bioperine (4 mg) increases the body’s ability to absorb nutrients. It does not directly contribute to weight loss.

Citrus Aurantium (300 mg) contains Synephrine, which is a great, proven diet pill ingredient. The important aspect with Synephrine is the concentration–the higher the better. LipoFlush does not disclose the concentration of Synephrine it contains. Therefore, it is impossible for this LipoFlush review to determine if the Synephrine in LipoFlush diet pills is enough to contribute to weight loss.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) (100 mg) does contribute to weight loss, but 100 mg isn’t going to do much.

Cordyceps Sinesis (100 mg)

Garcinia Cambogia (400 mg) does contribute to weight loss.

Hawthorne Berry (100 mg) does nothing for weight loss.

Caffeine (99 mg) is a good weight loss ingredient, but there is not enough caffeine in LipoFlush diet pills to be effective.

LipoFlush Proprietary Complex 4000 mg

Acanthopanax Senticosus

Alpha Lipoic Acid(ALA) helps produce energy. However, the human body makes plenty of ALA, so there is no need to supplement.

Banaba Leaf

Beta Sitosterol

Betaine

Capsicum

Cellulose

Cinnamon

Damiana has been shown to contribute to weight loss when combined with yerba mate and guarana. LipoFlush does contain yerba mate and guarana, but it does not list how much of each is included.

Genistein

Ginger

Grape Seed

Guarana has been shown to contribute to weight loss when combined with yerba mate and damiana. LipoFlush does contain yerba mate and damiana, but it does not list how much of each is included.

Guggul extract is supposed to increase thyroid function, leading to weight loss. However, research does not support these claims.

Glycine

Hoodia does absolutely nothing for weight loss.

Inositol transports fat from the liver. Again, LipoFlush hides how much Inositol it contains.

Kelp

Kola Nut

Lecithin

L-Histidine

L-Tyrosine is effective when included in doses of 500 to 1500 mg per day. It is unlikely that LipoFlush contains enough L-Tyrosine to be effective.

Green Tea is a very effective ingredient, but LipoFlush does not list how much green tea it contains.

Magnesium

Mucuna Puriens

Panax Ginseng

Phosphatidylserine

Quercetine dihydrate

Siler extract

Theobroma Cocoa Complex

White Willow Bark is an anti-inflammatory. It does not cause weight loss.

Yerba Mate has been shown to contribute to weight loss when combined with guarana and damiana. LipoFlush does contain guarana and damiana, but it does not list how much of each is included.

LipoFlush Cost

LipoFlush costs $69.95 for 120 capsules. If you take the recommended 8 capsules per day, one bottle will last 15 days. This is an outrageous price for a diet pill! You can find a more effective diet pill at much less cost. Check out our recommended products.

LipoFlush Research

The LipoFlush website claims there has been research done specifically on LipoFlush. The supposed research was done in-house (which usually means they have altered the results to make them more favorable). Also, there is no formal write-up on the research results; they have not been published anywhere. This makes us very skeptical of the LipoFlush research.

LipoFlush Conclusion

This LipoFlush review finds LipoFlush is really no different from dozens of other diet pills. They do include a few proven ingredients, but in most cases they fail to list how much of each ingredient is included. They try to impress consumers with a very lengthy list of ingredients. The price of LipoFlush is ridiculous. Don’t bother with this product. Instead, go with one of our recommended products; they contain the necessary amount of proven ingredients and they won’t break your bank.

This Cuts II review will detail the ingredients in Cuts II diet pills as well as reveal what the science really says.

Cuts II Ingredients

L-Carnitine (550mg) does not cause weight loss.

Lecithin (500mg)

Choline (500mg) is supposed to reduce body fat, but studies have yet to prove this.

Inositol (500mg) transports fat from the liver.

Methionine (200mg) helps break down fats. However, it has some dangerous side effects, so you should not supplement with Methionine unless directed to do so by your doctor.

Vitamin B6 (40mg) has healthy benefits, but it does not contribute to weight loss.

Linoleic Acid (100mg) does not cause weight loss.

Oleic Acid (50 mg)

Parsley (200mg)

Potassium Gluconate (200mg)

Chlorophyll (2000mcg)

Grapefruit Powder (100mg)

Chromium Picolinate (100mcg) has shown varying results in clinical trials.

Natural Herb Blend (600mg)

Uva Ursi has been shown to have dangerous interactions when combined with diuretics (like Buchu and Juniper). You will notice Cuts II diet pills contain both Buchu and Juniper.

Buchu

Doggrass

Cornsilk

Hydrangea Root

Juniper Berries

This Cuts II review finds Cuts II contains nothing that will give you the weight loss results you are looking for. Find a diet pill that contains proven ingredients in the appropriate amounts.

Cuts II Cost

Cuts II diet pills cost $12.95 for 120 capsules. If you take the recommended 6 capsules per day, one bottle of Cuts II will last 20 days. This is fairly inexpensive for a diet pill. However, since it won’t give you good results, it is still too expensive.

Cuts II Guarantee (or lack thereof)

Cuts II is manufactured by Prolab. The Prolab website says they have great quality and take pride in it, but they do not guarantee their products. Any company that does not guarantee their products is suspect.

Cuts II Marketing

The Prolab website is packed with pictures of rippling muscles and hard bodies. Don’t expect to look anything like these pictures just by taking Cuts II; you will be sorely disappointed.

Cuts II Conclusion

This Cuts II review finds Cuts II is a subpar product. It contains NOTHING that will contribute to weight loss. Look through our recommended products to find one that will work for you.

Cuts II Conclusion

This Cuts II review finds Cuts II is a subpar product. It contains NOTHING that will contribute to weight loss. Look through our recommended products to find one that will work for you.

Size 0 is “the only supplement you need to achieve that sexy, youthful figure and regain your energy for life, fast!” (website). This Size 0 review will break down the claims made by Size 0 as well as give an in-depth look at the Size 0 ingredients to show you what you can honestly expect from Size 0 diet pills.

Size 0 Ingredients

Weight Loss Support Blend 785 mg (Thermogenic/Metabolic Accelerator)

Caffeine Anhydrous is merely dried caffeine. It has been proven to contribute to weight loss. However, since Size 0 includes caffeine anhydrous in a proprietary blend, there is no way to know if there is enough to be effective.

Green Tea Extract has also been proven to contribute to weight loss. For green tea to be effective, it has to be taken in doses of at least 300 mg per day. It is very unlikely that there is enough green tea in Size 0 diet pills to contribute to weight loss.

Yerba Mate has been shown to contribute to weight loss, but ONLY when combined with Damiana and Guarana. Size 0 does not contain Damiana or Guarana.

Green Coffee Bean Extract inhibits weight loss in mice, but human studies have not been done.

Cordia Salisifolia Extract (Cha de Bugre) Although cordia salisifolia is included in many diet pills, there is no scientific evidence that it actually contributes to weight loss.

Cocoa Extract is a feel-good ingredient; it does not directly contribute to weight loss.

Taurine is often added to energy drinks, but studies have shown it has no effect on energy levels.

Citrus Naringin

Appetite Support Complex 17 mg (Food Craving Support Nutrients)

Hoodia Gordonii DOES NOT contribute to weight loss, although many diet pill companies claim it does.

Smithin Jojoba Seed Extract

Griffoniosimplicifolia Seed Extract

Beauty Support Blend 11 mg (Hair, Skin and Nails Nutrients)

Horsetail Leaf Extract

Hyaluronic Acid

Collagen, according to many diet pill companies, is supposed to reduce body fat. However, studies have not been able to prove this theory.

Choline is supposed to reduce body fat (according to diet pill companies), but science has not proven it.

Silica

Inositol helps transport fat from the liver. Size 0 does not list how much Inositol it contains.

Biotin is Vitamin B-7; it does not contribute to weight loss.

L-Cyctione

L-Methionine helps break down fats. You should not supplement with Methionine unless your doctor directs you to do so.

Coenzyme Q10

Chamomile Flower Leaf Extract

Estrogen Support Complex 4 mg (Hormonal Balancing Nutrients)

Choste Tree Berry

Daidzen

Dong Quai Root

Vitex Agnus Costus

Don’t be impressed or overwhelmed by the long list of ingredients included in Size 0. It merely means they have put in a VERY small amount of each ingredient. Size 0 does include a few proven ingredients, but odds are there is not enough of any ingredient to contribute to weight loss.

Size 0 Cost

A one month supply of Size 0 diet pills costs $49.95. This is extremely expensive, especially since Size 0 fails to list how much of each ingredient is included, making it impossible to predict how effective Size 0 will be.

Size 0 Guarantee

Size 0 has a 6 month guarantee policy. You can even return open bottles (although if you have used more than half the bottle they will only refund the amount of the unused portion). This seems like a pretty good guarantee.

Size 0 Marketing

The Size 0 website is incomplete. They claim they have made a “scientific breakthrough.” However, under the section titled “Size 0 Science”, there is no information. I would be interested to see what research they cite, since all the research we have seen (which is a considerable amount) says there is no possible way the proven ingredients in Size 0 could have been included in adequate amounts to contribute to weight loss.

It is interesting that Size 0 is enticing people to get back their “sexy, youthful figure” when they use what looks like a teenage model. Do they really expect people to believe they will look like the model if they use Size 0 (because the only way to get your body looking like the model’s is to go back in time)?

Size 0 Conclusion

This Size 0 review finds Size 0 diet pills are nothing out of the ordinary; they include a few proven ingredients, but not in large enough amounts to actually cause weight loss. Don’t waste your time on pills like these. Find a diet pill that includes proven ingredients in appropriate amounts.

“More energy

Natural weight loss

Reduced cravings

Improved muscle tone

Balanced digestion

Greater mental focus” (website).

This Cleanse for Life review will explain the untold truths about Cleanse for Life and its manufacturer, Isagenix, to give you the full story behind this product.

Cleanse for Life Ingredients

Sodium (45mg ) is necessary for health, but does not contribute to weight loss.

Potassium (70 mg) does not contribute to weight loss.

Total Carbohydrate 10g

Dietary Fiber (1g ) is very important in health, but it does not directly contribute to weight loss.

Sugars 8 g

Other Carbohydrate 1g

Vitamin B3 (niacin) 8 mg

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) 8 mg

Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) 30 mcg

Proprietary Blend 100 ml

Aloe Vera Leaf gel is used in many skin care products, but it has not been shown to contribute to weight loss.

IsaLyte trace minerals

Pau D’Arco inner bark

Suma root is supposed to keep hormonal balance. There is no proof that it contributes to weight loss.

Eleutherococcus Senticocus root extract is supposed to increase the immune system; it does not contribute to weight loss.

Burdock root

Fennel seed

Peppermint leaf

Licorice root

Choline bitarate is contained in many diet supplements which claim choline reduces body fat, but there is no evidence to back up this claim.

Inositol helps transport fat from the liver. It is used to treat depression and ADD.

Betain HCl

L-Methionine helps breakdown fats and aids in digestion. It is not recommended that you supplement with L-Methionine unless directed by your doctor.

The Truth Behind Cleanse for Life

The Cleanse for Life website (the Isagenix company website) is quite frustrating. There are no prices listed and no guarantee listed either. Of course they do not say how much of each ingredient is included (supposedly because they don’t want anyone stealing their formula).

Well, we contacted Isagenix customer service and here is what we found:

If you sign up for a yearly membership ($39 per year), you get a discount on Isagenix products.

Before they will give you the price for a single bottle of Cleanse for Life they try to sell you their “30 Day Cleanse” (which costs $374 without a membership and $260 with one). If that doesn’t work they try to sell you the “9 Day Cleanse” (which costs $174.95 without a membership and $130 with one). These extended day cleanse programs include several products including Cleanse for Life.

Finally they told me the price on one single bottle of Cleanse for Life. It is $43 without a membership and $32 with one. One bottle of Cleanse for Life lasts 2 days.

Isagenix employs Multi-Level Marketing tactics, although they do not call them such. In other words, they try to get you to sell Isagenix products and give you a cut of everything you sell. Maybe that is why they don’t list their prices online–you get a different price depending on how much you have sold and who you buy it through.

Isagenix does have a 30 day money back guarantee. However, they will not refund your membership fee. We like that they will return your money (minus shipping and handling), but we like to see a guarantee of 90 days.

Cleanse for Life Conclusion

This Cleanse for Life review finds that Cleanse for Life seems like nothing more than a scam. It does not contain any proven ingredients, and the marketing is misleading and confusing. If you really want to lose weight, use a diet pill with proven ingredients in proven amounts.

According to the Animal Cuts website, “Animal Cuts is unlike anything out there. Unlike most conventional “fat burners” out there, Animal Cuts is more than just a thermogenic. It is the only comprehensive and complete cutting formula on the market.” This Animal Cuts review will determine if and how Animal Cuts diet pills differ from other products and what you might expect from them.

What do the ingredients in Animal Cuts do?

Synephrine–One study performed in December of 2007 looked at the lipolysis (fat loss) effects of Satsuma mandarin orange (Citrus unshu Mark) peel on the fat cells of rats (I know, it’s always rats). A high concentration of Synephrine was present in the peel and lipolysis effects were present. The overall conclusion:

These results suggest that the segment wall, an edible fraction, from Satsuma mandarin orange might be useful as a functional food, especially as a fat-reducing material ((J Nutr Sci Vitaminol (Tokyo). 2008 Dec;53(6):547-51.)).

PEA (Phenethylamine) is an alkaloid that functions as a neurotransmitter in the brain. Some people call Phenetyhlamine “The Love Drug” because it is included in chocolate but the question arises as to the validity of that claim because Pheneythlamine is metabolized so quickly, it’s doubtful that any significant amount would reach the brain quickly enough to cause an effect. More human research is needed on phenethylamine.

Carnitine is an amino acid which helps break down fats. Although Carnitine is included in many weight loss supplements, there is no clinical evidence that it contributes to weight loss.

Gugglesterones are supposed to increase thyroid function to promote weight loss. However, studies have had varying results.

Chromium Picolinate (chromium + picolinic acid) is pushed by companies as an aid to losing weight. It is known that small quantities of chromium are “needed for glucose utilization by insulin in normal health, but deficiency is extremely rare in developed nations.”

Do you have a chromium deficiency? Probably not. However, some studies are finding that Chromium Picolinate reduces insulin resistance, thus leading to weight loss. Other studies claim to find the opposite.

L-tyrosine has proven to contribute to the ability to work out more effectively and burn more calories. You guessed it–the amount of L-tyrosine in Animal Cuts is not disclosed.

Green tea is a very effective ingredient in increasing metabolic function when used in the appropriate amount. However, Animal Cuts does not disclose how much green tea is contained in their formula.

This long list of ingredients can be intimidating. Companies often include dozens of ingredients in micro
amounts so you think you are getting something different and effective. Don’t be fooled. The proof is in how much of each ingredient is included. You will notice the ingredients in Animal Cuts are included in a “complex”. In other words, they don’t want you to know how much of each ingredient is included in the formula. Therefore, it is virtually impossible for this Animal Cuts review to determine the true effectiveness of this product.

How much do Animal Cuts diet pills cost?

A bottle of Animal Cuts diet pills costs around $30 and has 42 packs (servings). If you take the recommended 2 packs a day, one bottle will last you 21 days. While this isn’t especially expensive for a diet pill, there is no way to know how effective it is (which essentially makes it infinitely expensive).

What are the directions for taking Animal Cuts?

The Animal Cuts website gives the following directions:

“Take two Animal Cuts packs everyday for three consecutive weeks. Follow a cycle consisting of three weeks on and one week off. After your one week off cycle, you can repeat another three week on cycle until you reach your goals. Take on an empty stomach.”

Animal Cuts’ in-your-face marketing

Let’s just say Animal Cuts marketing isn’t your typical diet pill marketing. Their website uses any language you can imagine and doesn’t apologize for doing so. They show pictures of bulging biceps, obviously catering to the teenage crowd.

Animal Cuts conclusion

This Animal Cuts review finds that, despite their claims, Animal Cuts diet pills are really not that different from typical fat burners. Like so many other diet pills, Animal Cuts leaves you in the dark about how much of each ingredient is included in the formula. This is a tell tale sign that there is not enough of the proven ingredients to be effective. Try using a diet pill that is honest in the amount of each ingredient included.

This Hydroxycut Hardcore review will reveal the truth behind the claims.

*Update: Hydroxycut Recall

On May 1, 2009 the FDA issued a warning to consumers to stop taking Hydroxycut-branded products. Over more than 7 years they have received 23 reports of health related issues with those taking Hydroxycut-branded products. The main health concern appears to be serious liver-related problems. Iovate Health Sciences Inc., the makers of Hydroxcut, have voluntarily recalled all of the products under question in the FDA’s report. In light of this new report, Hydroxycut-branded products are no longer recommended on this site.

Considering the millions of people who have taken Hydroxycut products, 23 accounts of health complications is a relatively low number. Nevertheless, you should never place yourself in any unnecessary risk. Symptoms of liver problems include: jaundice (yellowing of the skin), brown urine, light colored stools, unusual tiredness, stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite, weakness, and vomiting. You can see the full FDA report here.

The products that are currently being recalled by Iovate include:

Hydroxycut Regular Rapid Release Caplets

Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Rapid Release Caplets

Hydroxycut Hardcore Liquid Caplets

Hydroxycut Max Liquid Caplets

Hydroxycut Regular Drink Packets

Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Drink Packets

Hydroxycut Liquid Shots

Hydroxycut Max Aqua Shed

Hydroxycut 24

Hydroxycut Carb Control

Hydroxycut Natural

You can also see Hydroxycut’s informational page about the recall for more information.

Also, according to the FDA, “The agency has not yet determined which ingredients, dosages, or other health-related factors may be associated with risks related to these Hydroxycut products. The products contain a variety of ingredients and herbal extracts.” Some believe, however, that the health problems stem from the ingredient Hydroxycitric Acid, also known as HCA. Further study and research is needed to confirm this theory, but until proven otherwise any products that contain HCA are no longer recommended on this website.

Hydroxycut Hardcore’s Ingredients:

Proxyclene Fat Loss Blend 742mg

Caffeine anhydrous Supplying 280mg caffeine (this is high caffeine content)

White willow extract (as Salix alba) (bark)

Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco extract (bark)

Norepidrol Intensity Focus Blend 171mg

Deanol acetamidobenzoate hydrogentartrate

Xanthinol nicotinate

Evodia rutaecarpa extract (as Tetradium ruticarpum) (fruit)

Inula racemosa extract (root)

Standardized for 2% alantolactone

Codonopsis pilosula extract (root)

Lasidrate Delivery Blend 55mg

Troxerutin (as Sophpra japonica)

Inositol hexaphosphate

Cnidium monnieri extract (seed)

Black pepper extract (as Piper nigruml.) (fruit)

Yohimacore Yohimbine Blend 4.5mg

Methyl 17 alpha-hydroxy-yohiman-16alpha-carboxylate hydrochloride

Hydroxycut Hardcore Other Ingredients:

Sesame oil, FD&C Red No. 3, FD&C Black Shade, silica, gelatin, shellac, isopropyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, dehydrated alcohol, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide, povidone, titanium dioxide, FD&C Yellow No. 5.

What’s Our Take on that Exhaustive List of Hydroxycut Hardcore’s Ingredients?

We like green tea as a diet pill ingredient. It has been proven to contribute to weight loss.

Caffeine has been proven to increase metabolic function, which can lead to weight loss.

White willow bark is an anti-inflammatory/pain reliever similar to aspirin. It may enhance the thermogenic effect and increase the body’s ability to utilize fatty acids while preserving lean muscle tissue. Further research is needed to substantiate these claims.

Piper nigruml (black pepper) is a “thermonutrient” because it “enhances the body’s natural thermogenic activity.” I don’t know if the ability to absorb more nutrients will directly translate into lost weight
Yohimbine has been shown to increase fatty acid mobilization.

What does the research say about Hydroxycut Hardcore?

The Hydroxycut website leads you to believe that Hydroxycut Hardcore diet pills have been thoroughly researched. This is very misleading. Like many other diet pills, Hydroxycut Hardcore has not had any research done on it. There has been research done on individual ingredients, but none at all on this combination of ingredients. Clinical studies have found that several ingredients in Hydroxycut Hardcore do contribute to weight loss. However, Hydroxycut Hardcore has “blends” of ingredients rather than disclosing how much of each ingredient is included. This makes it impossible for consumers to compare Hydroxycut Hardcore diet pills with the clinical findings. It is also impossible for this Hydroxycut Hardcore review to determine just how effective this product is.

What are the side effects of Hydroxycut Hardcore?

Side effects of Hydroxycut Hardcore include increased heart rate, jitters, diarrhea, nausea, and changes in stool color.

How much does Hydroxycut Hardcore cost?

One bottle of Hydroxycut Hardcore diet pills contains 120 capsules and costs $59.99. If you take the maximum recommended dose of 6 capsules per day, one bottle will last 20 days. That is $3 per day, which is very expensive, especially since there is no way of knowing how effective this product is.

Hydroxycut Hardcore conclusion

This Hydroxycut Hardcore review has found that Hydroxycut Hardcore is really no different from many other diet pills. They make big claims which they try to back up with clinical findings, but they fail to disclose the ingredient amounts included. Spend your hard earned cash somewhere else. We recommend using a product that can legitimately back up its claims.

LipoTrim (NOW) is a weight loss supplement which claims to support fat digestion and increase metabolism of fat by the liver. LipoTrim claims, “This synergistic blend of ingredients therefore supports many aspects of healthy fat metabolism, which, in turn, may promote higher energy levels.” Emphasis should be placed on “may”. Although they claim to use ingredients which have been clinically proven to aid in weight loss, they fail to mention that the clinical trials were done on mice or rats, not on humans ((We don’t discount completely studies done on mice and rats, we just wish the hawkers of diet pill supplements would mention when they’re citing studies that the study wasn’t done on humans.)) (hopefully we’ll see some human trials in the future).

What is in LipoTrim?

L-Carnitine (as L-Carnitine Tartrate) 100 mg †

L-Methionine 500 mg †

Inositol 1 g †

Choline (as choline bitartrate) 1 g †

Chromium (as Chromium Picolinate) 200 mcg 170%

Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxine HCI) 10 mg 500%

Taurine 250 mg †

†: Daily value not established.

L-Carnitine is known for stimulating the burning of fatty acids. It is rare for a well-nourished person to be deficient of carnitine. Studies on L-Carnitine have shown mixed results, and those with positive results came when using at least 4 times the amount contained in 3 tablets of LipoTrim.

Methionine assists in the breakdown of fats and assists with the digestive system. By helping remove heavy metals from the body, it detoxifies the liver. It is not recommended that you supplement l-methionine unless directed by a professional physician.

Inositol is also a fat-solublizing agent that helps to transport fat from the liver. It is mainly used to help treat depression, ADD, Panic Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder.

Choline is found in many nutritional supplements which claim to reduce body fat, but there is little to no evidence to prove that it has any effect on reducing excess body fat.

Supporters of chromium picolinate claim it reduces insulin resistance, thus leading to weight loss. Again, the jury is still out on this one. Studies show opposing conclusions.

Vitamin B6 helps in the maintaining of balanced blood sugar levels.

Taurine is an organic acid that helps generate nerve impulses. It is often added to energy drinks; studies have shown it does not affect energy.

Is there any proof that LipoTrim really works?

Like many other weight loss supplements, LipoTrim has not had research conducted on it specifically. As mentioned above, studies are contradictory or inconclusive on many of the individual ingredients. There were some studies done on the effects of methionine and choline used together. The subjects lost 26 percent of their body weight in 21 days of taking these two supplements. However, the subjects were mice. ((http://www.jlr.org/cgi/content/abstract/M600198-JLR200v1?ck=nck))
Another study showed taurine supplementation prevented obesity in mice fed a high-fat, low-calorie diet. ((http://endo.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/147/7/3276))

Although these results are positive in mice, who knows what the results would be in humans. In addition, there is no good way to compare the amounts used in mice and derive proper amounts to be used in humans.

LipoTrim (Now) Review Conclusion

There are just too many unknowns with LipoTrim. It could potentially be a good product, but until more research is done on humans, we recommend taking something else. Look at our list of recommended supplements.
