Aspire is a weight loss product marketed solely towards women that claims to be the “solution women like you have been waiting for.”

So how does Aspire stack up against the competition? This Aspire review will take a look at their ingredients, marketing, guarantee, and pricing to help you decide for yourself.

Ingredients

The Aspire weight loss product consists of 3 different formulas: Cleanse, Weight Loss, & Appetite Suppressant.

Cleanse is designed kick start your weight loss by ridding your body of toxins.
Weight Loss is meant to boost your energy and your fat burning capabilities.
Appetite Suppressant is (surprise!) supposed to help you eat less.

Aspire Cleanse

Lactobacillus Acidophilus
Psyllium Seed
Aloe Vera
Cascara Sagrada – A natural laxative, cascara sagrada is effective but has a number of side effects and safety warnings (such as don’t take it for longer than 7 days in a row).
Milk Thistle Seed
Fennel Seed
Rhubarb Root
Raspberry Leaf
Flaxseed
Goldenseal Herb
Dandelion Leaf

This is a pretty standard mix of fibers designed to cleanse your system.

Aspire Weight Loss

Raspberry
Guarana – Has shown to be effective when combined with yerba mate and damiana.
Green Tea – An effective and proven weight loss ingredient, green tea helps to increase the metabolic rate and is known for its fat burning capabilities.
GuggulsteronesWhile many claim that it aids in fat burning, research is lacking that supports this theory.
Rhodiola Rosea
Cinnamon Bark
Yerba Mate – Has shown to be effective when combined with guarana and damiana.
Banaba
Ginseng – Many believe that ginseng aids in weight loss, and early studies seem slightly supportive, but more definitive research is needed.
Dandelion Root
Alpha-lipoic Acid – While it’s true the alpha-lipoic acid helps produce energy, studies suggest that your body already makes enough of it so more isn’t likely to do much good.
Evodiamine
Chromium – Chromium plays in important role in blood sugar regulation. More research is needed, however, that shows that chromium supplementation leads directly to weight loss.

Aspire Appetite Suppressant

GlucomannanA dietary fiber that has quite a bit of research backing up its claims to be an effective appetite suppressant.
Fibersol-2
Hoodia GordoniiHoodia is a fad ingredient that has almost zero research backing up its claims to aid in weight loss through appetite suppression. It became popular by marketing, and not for its efficacy.

Some of the ingredients in Aspire are good and some are hype. If they disclosed the amounts of each ingredient, it would be much easier to gauge it’s effectiveness.

Aspire’s Marketing

First, the positive. I like that Aspire lists all of the ingredients in the different formulas and even has a little information about each one. This can be found by going to the FAQ’s, then clicking the question about the ingredients. While I wish they told us how much of each ingredient is in the mix, they’ve done more than some companies that I’ve seen.

What I don’t like about Aspire’s marketing is that the entire website feels like some hyped up sales pitch that almost tries to play off of people’s insecurities. You’ll see comments such as, “Do You Feel Like Crying When You Look In The Mirror? Use Aspire And Laugh Out Loud When You Get On The Scale” or “heads will turn wherever and whenever you walk by.”

Oh, and this was a favorite:

You should not be spending your time worrying or crying about your weight. If you really want to be slim and gorgeous and wear those hot bathing suits you’ve seen on the beaches (and only dreamed of wearing), we have the answer you’ve been waiting for.

As if we have to be slim and skinny in order to be happy and beautiful. I hope you can see through the shallow marketing.

I don’t however, see any big red flags other than the distasteful sales copy.

Aspire’s Money Back Guarantee

I was glad to see that Aspire offers a 90 day money back guarantee. Anything over 60 days in this industry is pretty good, so 90 days is a pretty solid guarantee.

I’m somewhat confused at something in their guarantee. Here’s what it says (emphasis added): “If you’re not happy with Aspire, contact us within 90 days of your purchase date and return the unused portion (even if you’ve used everything), and you’ll get a full refund (less shipping), no questions asked!”

The first part makes me believe that you can only get a refund for the unused (or unopened) bottles. But the second part in parenthesis makes it sound like you get a refund on all bottles, even if they were used (and are now empty).

I don’t have any big reason to believe that this ambiguous terminology isn’t intentionally trying to trick consumers, but If I were you I’d play it safe and only count on getting refunded for unused bottles.

Aspire’s Price

A one month supply is $49.97. If it’s effective, this isn’t a bad price for a weight loss product. Of course, they suggest you take it for 3 to 6 months (likely to pad their pockets a little more).

Conclusion

The Aspire weight loss product consist of a pretty good ingredient profile. Many of the ingredients have been proven, and some have not. Overall, as long as the ingredients are included in the correct amounts (which we can’t verify since they don’t disclose it) than it’s likely to be fairly effective. I like their guarantee and the price is decent. I don’t, however, like the manner in which they’ve marketed their product. You be the judge.

The supposed advantages of Burn Tropin include:

“Enhancement of Natural Thermogenesis without Ephedra

Regulation of Metabolism

Safe and Effective

Support for Metabolic Rate as Part of a Diet Program While Maintaining Healthy Cognitive Function” (website).

This Burn Tropin review shows that Burn Tropin fails to live up to its claims.

Hydroxycitric Acid Update

On May 1, 2009 the FDA issued a warning to consumers to stop taking Hydroxycut-branded products. Over more than 7 years they have received 23 reports of health related issues with those taking Hydroxycut-branded products. The main health concern appears to be serious liver-related problems. Iovate Health Sciences Inc., the makers of Hydroxcut, have voluntarily recalled all of the products under question in the FDA’s report

Common symptoms of liver complications include:

jaundice (yellowing of the skin)

brown urine

light colored stools

unusual tiredness

stomach pain

itching

loss of appetite

weakness

vomiting

In light of the recent FDA warning concerning the possible dangers of Hydroxycut-branded diet pills, many believe that the associated health risks are likely due to the inclusion of the commonly used ingredient Hydroxycitric Acid, or HCA. And while according to the FDA, “The agency has not yet determined which ingredients, dosages, or other health-related factors may be associated with risks related to these Hydroxycut products. The products contain a variety of ingredients and herbal extracts.” you can never be too cautious.

So, while further study and research is needed to confirm the link between HCA and the liver problems, until proven otherwise any products that contain HCA are no longer recommended on this website.

Burn Tropin Ingredients

L-Tyrosine (1000 mg) does contribute to weight loss.

Ephedra Free Thermogenic Blend 420 mg

Green tea contributes to weight loss by increasing metabolic rate. It has been proven to be effective when taken in doses of at least 300 mg per day. Burn Tropin diet pills do not say how much green tea they contain, but it is unlikely that there is enough green tea to be effective.

Zhi Shi (Citrus Aurantium) contains synephrine, which has been shown to cause weight loss. The important aspect of synephrine is the concentration (the higher the concentration of synephrine the more effective it is). The concentration of the synephrine contained in Burn Tropin is undisclosed.

Coleus Forskohlii has been shown to contribute to weight loss. Again, Burn Tropin fails to list how much Coleus Forskohlii it contains, making it impossible for this Burn Tropin review to determine if there is enough Coleus Forskohlii to be effective.

Appetite Suppression 450 mg

Hydroxycitric acid (Garcinia Cambogia) contributes to weight loss. However, it is contained in a proprietary blend so there is no way of knowing for sure how much Garcinia Cambogia is contained in Burn Tropin diet pills.

Tropin Blend 105 mg

Mucuna Puriens do not cause weight loss.

Guggulsterones supposedly lower cholesterol, but they have not been proven to contribute to weight loss.

Burn Tropin does contain some of our favorite diet pill ingredients. Unfortunately, Burn Tropin hides how much of each proven ingredient is included.

Burn Tropin Cost

Burn Tropin diet pills cost $19.95 for a one month supply. This is quite inexpensive for a diet pill. Unfortunately, since Burn Tropin does not disclose the amount of each ingredient included, any amount is too much to pay for Burn Tropin.

Burn Tropin Marketing

Burn Tropin is manufactured by Baywood International. The Baywood International website is very informative. They do not use the typical gimmicks of doctored before and after pictures or fabricated testimonials. Baywood International does NOT have a guarantee for Burn Tropin because they do not sell Burn Tropin directly; you have to buy it from a retailer. If you are considering buying Burn Tropin, be sure to check into the retailer’s individual guarantee policy.

Burn Tropin Conclusion

This Burn Tropin review finds Burn Tropin is just an average diet pill. Burn Tropin contains a few proven ingredients, but they are included in undisclosed amounts. For real weight loss results, try one of our recommended products; they contain proven ingredients in the appropriate amounts.

This GlucoLean review explores the ingredients contained in GlucoLean diet pills as well as the lack of a guarantee from the manufacturer to help you know what you can expect from GlucoLean.

GlucoLean Ingredients

Selenium (50 mcg) does not cause weight loss.

Chromium (200 mcg) has shown varying results in clinical studies.

Guggul Extract (100o mg) supposedly lowers cholesterol, but don’t buy into the claims about Guggul; it does not contribute to weight loss.

Gymnema Sylvestre (150 mg) lowers blood sugar, leading to weight loss.

Coleus Forskolii Extract (130 mg) does contribute to weight loss.

Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) (100 mg) helps the body create energy. However, your body makes plenty of ALA; you do not need to supplement.

D-Pinitol (25mg) does not contribute to weight loss.

Bitter Melon Extract 4-1 (18.8mg) does not cause weight.

This GlucoLean review finds GlucoLean diet pills do contain a few proven ingredients. However, we would prefer to see a few more (like green tea and synephrine).

GlucoLean Cost

GlucoLean diet pills cost $31.95 for 120 capsules. If you take the recommended 4 capsules per day, one bottle will last about a month. This is a pretty competitive price for a diet pill.

GlucoLean Guarantee

There is no guarantee for GlucoLean through the manufacturer (which is always a red flag to us–why would a company refuse to back their product unless they have something to hide?) If you purchase GlucoLean through another website they might have their own guarantee; be sure to check on the guarantee before you purchase any diet pill.

GlucoLean Conclusion

This GlucoLean review finds GlucoLean does include some proven diet pill ingredients (in proven amounts even). We would prefer to see a few more proven ingredients included (like green tea and synephrine). The price of GlucoLean is pretty good, but we are concerned with the lack of a guarantee from the manufacturer. If you can find a website that will guarantee Glucolean, it wouldn’t be bad to try. However, if you go with one of our recommended ingredients you can be assured it will be backed by the manufacturer so you can get a refund if you are not satisfied.

“Increased energy levels.
Increase strength levels.
Increased mental activity creating deep focused concentration for deeper muscle recruitment and thus, muscle stimulation.
Increased metabolic rate causing your abs to get shredded and ripped.” (website)

This ThinPhetamine review will detail the ingredients contained in ThinPhetamine as well as explain the guarantee associated with ThinPhetamine diet pills to show you what you can really expect.

ThinPhetamine Ingredients

Vitamin B3 (as niacin & niacinamide) (60 mg) does not contribute to weight loss.
Pantothenic Acid (30 mg) has not been shown to cause weight loss.
Chromium (as chromium polynicotinate) (200 mcg) has shown varying results in clinical studies.
Proprietary Blend 854mg
Green Tea extract (leaf) (Camellia sinensis) has been shown to contribute to weight loss. However, ThinPhetamine fails to disclose how much green tea it contains, making it impossible for this ThinPhetamine review to determine if there is enough green tea to cause weight loss.

Caffeine USP causes weight loss by increasing metabolic rate. Again, ThinPhetamine diet pills include caffeine in a proprietary blend (most likely to disguise how little caffeine it actually contains).

Cocoa Bean extract (Theobroma Cacoa)

Yohimbe extract contributes to weight loss, but ThinPhetamine does not say how much Yohimbe it contains.

Ginger (root) has been shown to contribute to weight loss in rodents, but more human research is needed.

European Willow is an anti-inflammatory. More research is needed to determine the effect willow has on weight loss.

Cayenne (Capsicum (fruit) annuum) has been shown to cause weight loss by some studies, but more research is needed to determine what the effective dosage is.

Guggal extract supposedly lowers cholesterol, but research has shown it does not cause weight loss.

ThinPhetamine Cost

ThinPhetamine diet pills cost $29.95 for 120 capsules. At 4 capsules per day, one bottle lasts about a month. This is about an average price for a diet pill. However, all the effective ingredients in ThinPhetamine are included in a proprietary blend. Thus, any amount is too much to pay for ThinPhetamine.

ThinPhetamine Guarantee

ThinPhetamine has a 30 day guarantee. The website does not specify the details of this guarantee (what you have to do to get it or if there are fees associated with returns). We prefer to see a longer amount of time for a guarantee, and we like to know all the details of a guarantee before buying a product.

ThinPhetamine Side Effects

The ThinPhetamine website warns of the following possible side effects: nervousness, irritability, sleeplessness, and occasionally, rapid heartbeat.

ThinPhetamine Conclusion

This ThinPhetamine review finds ThinPhetamine is just another typical diet pill. ThinPhetamine contains a few proven ingredients, but they are included in undisclosed amounts. Don’t waste your time with ThinPhetamine. Go with a diet pill that contains proven ingredients in the appropriate amounts.

Lipoxinol is a diet pill that “ultimately provides the MOST effective approach to losing weight ever developed! It is the culmination of years of intense investigation into the sciences of nutrition, thermogenesis and metabolic activation. The end result is a true weight loss product that is UNEQUALED in its ability to maximize metabolic rate, provide appetite suppressing effects, and support thyroid function” (website). This Lipoxinol review will explore the ingredients included in Lipoxinol to help you determine if this is really the product you are looking for.

Lipoxinol Ingredients

Lipoxinol contains a proprietary blend of the following:

Fiberzide

Glucommanan has been proven to contribute to weight loss, but only when taken in doses of 2-4 grams per day. It is very unlikely that Lipoxinol contains enough glucommanan to be effective in causing weight loss.

Xanthan gum is a food additive. It does not cause weight loss.

Thermazene

Green tea has been shown to contribute to weight loss when taken in doses of at least 300 mg per day. Since Lipoxinol fails to disclose how much green tea it contains, it is impossible for this Lipoxinol review to determine if there is enough green tea to be effective.

Caffeine is another clinically proven diet pill ingredient. Again, Lipoxinol diet pills hide how much caffeine they contain, so there is no way of knowing if it will be effective.

Forslean has been shown to contribute to weight loss, but since it is contained in a proprietary blend, there is no telling whether or not the amount of Forslean contained in Lipoxinol will cause weight loss.

Vinpocetine helps with age-related memory problems, but it does not contribute to weight loss.

Bioperine helps the body absorb nutrients, but it doesn’t necessarily cause weight loss.

Thyroterm

Guggulsterones are supposed to increase thyroid function to cause weight loss. Studies have not proven this, however.

Sclareolide

Kelp is used to thicken foods; it does not cause weight loss.

Lipoxinol Cost

Lipoxinol diet pills cost $34.99 for 140 capsules. If you take the recommended dosage of 8 per day, 1 bottle will last 17 days. This is extremely expensive. Lipoxinol does contain many proven ingredients, but since they do not say how much of each ingredient is included, it is impossible to predict if Lipoxinol will be effective in contributing to weight loss.

Lipoxinol Guarantee

There is no guarantee for Lipoxinol through their manufacturer, SCI-Core Research. Some websites will allow you to return products for a refund. If you decide to buy Lipoxinol, be sure you know the return policy of the site you are purchasing from because it is likely you will want to return Lipoxinol.

Lipoxinol Conclusion

This Lipoxinol review finds Lipoxinol diet pills contain many clinically proven diet pill ingredients. Unfortunately, they fail to list how much of each ingredient is included (likely because they include very little of each ingredient). We recommend you look for a product that contains these products (plus synephrine) in proven amounts.

The Burn Ingredients

Women’s formula

Advanced Thermogenic Blend

Synephrine HCl (20 mg) has been proven to contribute to weight loss. When looking at synephrine, the important thing is the concentration. The Burn does not disclose the concentration of synephrine it contains.

Yohimbine (3 mg) does contribute to weight loss.

Evodiamine (10mg) has been shown to contribute to weight loss in mice. More human research is needed.

Caffeine Anhydrous (190 mg) is dehydrated caffeine. It has been shown to contribute to weight loss.

Di-Caffeine Malate (10 mg), like regular caffeine, contributes to weight loss. With the amount of caffeine contained in The Burn diet pills, be sure to take into account your own reaction to caffeine before taking The Burn.

Guggulsterone Z & E 1:1 (20 mg) are supposed to increase thyroid function to lead to weight loss. Research fails to support this.

L-Taurine (20 mg) is supposed to increase energy; research has failed to back up this claim.

Naringin (10 mg)

Bioperine (5 mg) helps in the absorption of nutrients. It has not been proven to directly contribute to weight loss.

Estrogen/Cortisol Support Agents

Phosphatidylserine (3 mg) supposedly prevents muscle breakdown and stimulates brain function. There is no evidence that it contributes to weight loss.

Daidzein (3 mg)

Men’s formula

Advanced Thermogenic Blend

Synephrine HCl (20 mg)

Yohimbine (4 mg)

Evodiamine (12mg)

Caffeine Anhydrous (190 mg)

Di-Caffeine Malate (10 mg)

Guggulsterone Z & E 1:1 (22 mg)

L-Taurine (20 mg) is supposed to increase energy; research has failed to back up this claim.

Naringin (10 mg)

Bioperine (5 mg) helps in the absorption of nutrients. It has not been proven to directly contribute to weight loss.

Anabolic Burn Support Agents

20-Beta-Hydroxy-Ecdysone-2-Acetate-Ester 3 mg

7-Beta-Hydroxy-DHEA 2 mg has proven to contribute to weight loss when included in doses of 100 mg per day. Obviously The Burn does not have nearly that much DHEA. However, studies have also suggested DHEA can cause heart palpitations.

It is interesting to note that the differences between the Women’s and Men’s Formulas are really insignificant. They have mostly just increased the amount of unproven ingredients.

The Burn Cost

The Burn diet pills cost $49.95 for 120 capsules. If you take the recommended dose of 4 capsules per day, one bottle will last a month. This is quite expensive for a diet pill. While The Burn does contain a few proven ingredients, we would like to know the concentration of synephrine. If we are just looking for caffeine and yohimbine, we can find them for much less money.

The Burn Guarantee

The Burn has a 6 month full money back guarantee. The even give refunds for opened bottles (if they are at least half full. If they are less than half full you get a partial refund). We like this refund policy.

The Burn Marketing

The Burn uses typical diet pill marketing practices in using unbelievable testimonials and pictures. It does not make them stand out from any other diet pill. However, on their website they do have an extensive list of citations for research done on the ingredients contained in The Burn. We like when the company provides the customer with direction in doing their own research.

The Burn website warns, “Do not use for more than 8 weeks.” They do not explain what will happen if you use The Burn diet pills for longer than 8 weeks. This is somewhat concerning.

The Burn Conclusion

This The Burn review finds that The Burn is really no different from many other diet pills. It does contain a few proven ingredients, but you could find the same ingredients for much less money. Look through our recommended products to find one that is right for you.

Phenterpril is a “prescription strength” diet pill that is supposed to be an alternative to Phentermine. The Phenterpril website claims, “For a fraction of what it costs for Phentermine, you can receive the all new prescription-free Phenterpril. Phenterpril is a safe effective weight loss supplement similar to Phentermine, that delivers better results, without the negative side effects.” This Phenterpril review will explore the ingredients in Phenterpril and compare Phenterpril with Phentermine to show you just what you can expect from Phenterpril diet pills.

Phenterpril Ingredients

Vitamin B6 (37.5 mg) has healthy benefits but does not contribute to weight loss.

Caffeine Anhydrous (37.5 mg) is no different from regular caffeine. It has been proven to contribute to weight loss; however, there is not enough caffeine anhydrous in Phenterpril diet pills to be effective.

Dicaffeine Malate (37.5 mg) has also been proven to contribute to weight loss because of the caffeine it contains. As with any product containing caffeine, be sure to take into account your own reaction to caffeine before taking Phenterpril.

Phenylethylamine (37.5 mg) is a mood enhancer. There is no evidence to prove that it actually contributes to weight loss.

Synephrine HCL (37.5 mg) has been proven to contribute to weight loss. With Synephrine, the most important thing is the concentration contained. Since Phenterpril fails to list the concentration of the Synephrine it contains, it is impossible for this Phenterpril review to determine if the concentration of Synephrine is enough to be effective.

L-Phenylalanine (37.5 mg) is a proven appetite suppressant. However, the low amount of L-Phenylalanine in Phenterpril is unlikely to contribute to weight loss.

Evodia Rutaecarpa (Evodiamines 20%) (37.5 mg) has been shown to cause weight loss in mice, but no human studies have been done.

Acetyl-L-Tyrosine (37.5 mg) is another proven diet pill ingredient. Studies have shown that for Tyrosine to be effective, it has to be taken in doses of 500-1500 mg per day. Thus, this Phenterpril review finds there is not nearly enough Tyrosine in Phenterpril diet pills to be effective at causing weight loss.

Guggulsterones (95%) (37.5 mg) are supposed to cause weight loss by increasing thyroid function. However, studies have shown conflicting results.

Ginger (37.5 mg) calms the stomach but does not contribute to weight loss.

Raspberry Ketones (37.5 mg) have been proven to induce weight loss in mice, but no human research has been done.

Phenterpril Cost

Phenterpril diet pills cost $55.99 for a one month supply. The Phenterpril website claims Phenterpril retails for $99.99. Companies often make these claims to make you think you are getting a great deal. In reality, $55.99 is way too much for Phenterpril. It contains a few proven ingredients, but not in the necessary amounts to cause weight loss.

Phenterpril Guarantee

Phenterpril has a 30 day money back guarantee (minus shipping and handling). Unlike many other diet pill companies, they do give returns on open bottles. We like this guarantee except we like to see a 90 day guarantee.

Phenterpril Marketing

Phenterpril tries very hard to compare with Phentermine, but they fall extremely short. They claim you will get the same results without the side effects. The truth is Phentermine has been proven and approved by the FDA. True, Phenterpril does contain some clinically proven ingredients, but the amounts included are not enough to cause weight loss.

Phenterpril (like so many other diet pills trying to mimic Phentermine) makes their packaging look like that of Phentermine. Again we reiterate, Phenterpril IS NOT a good substitute for Phentermine; it will NOT give you the same results.

Phenterpril Conclusion

This Phenterpril review finds Phenterpril fails to deliver on their promises. They cannot compete with Phentermine. Phenterpril diet pills contain a few proven ingredients, but not in high enough amounts. If you are interested in over the counter diet pills that will give you real results, look through our recommended products; they contain proven ingredients in proven amounts.

Lipo 6X is a diet pill which claims to be “the world’s most advanced fat burner” (website). Lipo 6X uses similar marketing strategies as many other diet pill companies; they have pictures of rippling muscles as well as outrageous testimonials to try to get you to buy Lipo 6X diet pills. This Lipo 6X review will determine if Lipo 6X is actually any different from countless other diet pills.

Lipo 6X Ingredients

Synephrine HCL 20mg
Yohimbine HCL 3mg
Acacia Rigidula95%Standardized To 75:1 Actives 100mg

Thyroid Stimulating Proprietary Matrix
Phenylethylamine
N, N-Dimethylphenethylamine
N, N-Dimethyl-A-Methylphenylethylamine
N, N-Methyl-B-Phenylethylamine
Tyramine
Hordenine

Caffeine Anhydrous 200mg
Synthetic Guggulsterones 20mg

Phase #1 Rapid Release Liquid Delivery Blend 600mg
Conjugated Linoleic Acid CLA
Oleic Acid

Synephrine is a clinically proven diet pill ingredient. When you look at Synephrine, the most important thing is the concentration–the higher the better. Since Lipo 6X fails to list the concentration of Synephrine included, there is no way to know how effective it will be.

Yohimbine causes weight loss by mobilizing fatty acid.

Acacia Rigidula is contained in many diet pills. Unfortunately, there is no scientific evidence to show it actually contributes to weight loss.

Phenylethylamine is often called the “Love Drug”. It is supposed to be a mood enhancer. Phenylethylamine is metabolized so quickly that there is question as to whether it even reaches the brain in time to have any effect. More research is needed.

Tyramine has not been proven to contribute to weight loss. In fact, it can cause migraine headaches.

Caffeine anhydrous is just caffeine. Caffeine has been proven to contribute to weight loss by increasing metabolic rate. Research shows caffeine has to be taken in doses of at least 300 mg per day to be effective. This Lipo 6X review finds if you take the maximum recommended dosage of Lipo 6X diet pills, you will get enough caffeine to contribute to weight loss.

Gugglesterones supposedly cause weight loss by increasing thyroid function. However, research has shown varying results.

CLA has been shown to contribute to weight loss. Unfortunately, Lipo 6X fails to disclose how much CLA it contains.

Oleic acid has not been proven to contribute to weight loss.

Lipo 6X Cost

Lipo 6X costs $34.95 for 120 capsules. If you take the maximum recommended dose of 4 capsules per day, one bottle will last one month. This is not too expensive as far as diet pills go, but considering there are only a couple proven ingredients included in proven amounts, $34.95 is too much for Lipo 6X diet pills.

Lipo 6X–No Guarantee

The Lipo 6X website said nothing about a guarantee, so I called their customer service to find out their return policy. The customer service representative said, “You could take the product and eat pizza every day, so there’s no money back guarantee.” I always question a company that is unwilling to stand behind their product.

Lipo 6X Marketing

Lipo 6X caters to teenagers. They show pictures of bodybuilders and say you can achieve the same look by taking Lipo 6X. How many times have we heard that before? The Lipo 6X website also contains the typical exaggerated testimonials which have no validity.

Lipo 6X Conclusion

This Lipo 6X review finds Lipo 6X is no different from dozens of other diet pills. It contains a few proven ingredients. You could buy these ingredients separately for much cheaper. Don’t be fooled by the “impressive” photos and testimonials; they are most likely fabricated. Look for a diet pill that can actually back up its claims.

Slim Seduction is a diet pill that “increases libido and decreases cellulite” (website). It is specifically designed for women. This Slim Seduction review will explore the confusion of the Slim Seduction website and explain the ingredients in Slim Seduction diet pills to help you make an informed decision.

Slim Seduction Ingredients

Guarana 227 mg
Yerba Mate 250 mg
Calcium 200 mg
Advantra Z (10% synephrine) 150 mg
Dandelion powder 125 mg
Green tea 180 mg
Cayenne 30 mg
Guggul 20 mg
Niacin 20 mg
Chromium 100 mg

Guarana and Yerba Mate have been shown to contribute to weight loss but ONLY when combined with Damiana. You will notice Slim Seduction diet pills DO NOT include Damiana.

Calcium has been shown to have many healthy benefits, but it has not been shown to contribute to weight loss.

Advantra Z contains synephrine, which has been proven to contribute to weight loss. The higher the percentage of synephrine, the more effective it is in causing weight loss. The 10 percent concentration of synephrine in Slim Seduction is likely to little to cause any significant weight loss.

Green tea has been proven to cause weight loss. However, studies have shown green tea has to be taken in doses of at least 300 mg per day in order to be effective. Thus, this Slim Seduction review finds there is not enough green tea in Slim Seduction to contribute to weight loss.

Guggul (gugglesterones) are supposed to increase thyroid function, leading to weight loss. Studies have shown varying results.

Chromium is said by some studies to contribute to weight loss. However, other studies have found chromium does not contribute to weight loss.

Slim Seduction Free Trial

Slim Seduction offers a 21 day free trial. You have to take a survey to qualify for the free trial. After you answer a few generic questions about weight and exercise you are told if you qualify (we entered the answers that would obviously qualify for the free trial). You can only get specific information on Slim Seduction once you qualify for the free trial.

You have 15 minutes to accept the free trial (there is even a clock counting down the time). The interesting thing is once the clock expires you can refresh the page and start the clock again. To get you to accept the free trial, Slim Seduction claims there are “only a few bottles left”. If this is really the case, why the count down? Probably because there are more than a few bottles–they just want you to think you are getting something very desirable.

Once you sign up for the free trial, you are automatically enrolled in autoship (they ship you new product every month and bill your credit card automatically). This is just another downside to Slim Seduction.

Slim Seduction Cost

The Slim Seduction website is very confusing about the cost of Slim Seduction diet pills. In one place they say if you sign up for the free trial you will get a 180 day supply for $143.88; this equals $23.98 per month. In another place they say the cost is $42.95 per month. This discrepency is not explained since you can’t get to the ordering screen unless you qualify for the free trial. Regardless of the cost, Slim Seduction does contain some proven ingredients, but there is not enough of any ingredient to be effective. Thus, this Slim Seduction review finds any amount for Slim Seduction is too much.

Slim Seduction Guarantee

Slim Seduction has a 30 day money back guarantee on first time purchases only. The Slim Seduction website explains, “Auto-Delivery shipments are not refundable but they can be exchanged for 150% credit towards any of our other 15 GNS products found at www.Global-Nutrition.com.”

Slim Seduction “Proof”

The Slim Seduction website is packed with unbelievable testimonials and Before & After photos. One of the FAQs on the website asks if there is proof that Slim Seduction works. The answer is that there are more pictures and testimonials. Come on, since when can doctored pictures and exaggerated claims be taken as proof?

Slim Seduction Conclusion

This Slim Seduction review finds Slim Seduction is shady and ineffective. Slim Seduction does contain a few proven ingredients, but none of them is included in proven amounts. The cost, free trial, and guarantee just add to the outrageous claims in making Slim Seduction an undesirable product. Look for a product with proven ingredients in proven amounts, one that proves itself through science instead of testimonials.

ThermoLean from Pro-Rx is a fat burning diet pill, which, according to their website,
· “Boosts your metabolic rate so you burn more calories
· Increases your energy
· No jitters – just a warming feeling as your metabolism is on fire
· And it helps to control/reduce your appetite!”

This ThermoLean review will help you separate fact from fiction and determine if ThermoLean diet pills are right for you.

What are the ingredients in ThermoLean diet pills?

Supplement Facts:
Serving Size: 2 Capsules
Servings Per Container: 60
Amount Per Serving:
Synephrine HCL 25mg
Synthetic 99% Guggulsterones 25mg
Yohimbe 5mg
Caffeine 250mg
Bioperine 5mg
Proprietary Formula 210mg

Is Synephrine effective? One study performed in December of 2007 looked at the lipolysis (fat loss) effects of Satsuma mandarin orange (Citrus unshu Mark) peel on the fat cells of rats (I know, it’s always rats). A high concentration of Synephrine was present in the peel and lipolysis effects were present.

The overall conclusion:
These results suggest that the segment wall, an edible fraction, from Satsuma mandarin orange might be useful as a functional food, especially as a fat-reducing material ((J Nutr Sci Vitaminol (Tokyo). 2008 Dec;53(6):547-51.)).
In a 2005 statement issued by Robert E. Brackett, a director at the Food and Drug Administration before the House of Representatives he mentioned that they had found a 4% concentration of Synephrine in citrus aurantium while other times finding a concentration of chemical Synephrine of up to 90%. I suppose if you were just going for weight loss, you’d hope yours had the 90% concentration. This ThermoLean review finds that ThermoLean does not reveal the concentration of the Synephrine it contains. That’s not to say they don’t have 90% concentration, we’re only highlighting the fact that we don’t know what the concentration is.

Gugglesterones are supposed to increase thyroid function to promote weight loss. However, studies have had varying results.

Yohimbine comes from the bark of an African evergreen tree. It has been shown to increase fatty acid mobilization. It is also used to treat erectile dysfunction.

Caffeine has been shown to increase metabolic function. Be sure you know how your body reacts to caffeine before taking any product containing caffeine.

Bioperine is an extract from the fruit Piper nigrum L (black pepper) or Piper longum L (long pepper). Both of these contain the active ingredient that you’re looking for: Piperine. They call it a “thermonutrient” because it “enhances the body’s natural thermogenic activity.” I don’t know if the ability to absorb more nutrients will directly translate into lost weight, but the added health benefits of Bioperine should not be overlooked.

ThermoLean does not disclose what the ingredients are in their “Proprietary Formula.” This is unusual; a lot of times companies have a proprietary formula, but they usually tell what the ingredients are even if they don’t give exact amounts for each ingredient. I would be concerned about a product that won’t even tell you what is in it.

How should ThermoLean be taken?

The ThermoLean website says that for fat loss you should take 2 capsules 30 minutes before breakfast and 2 more capsules in the afternoon. For “extreme fat loss” take 2 capsules 3 times daily 30 minutes before a meal. They also warn not to take ThermoLean diet pills within 6 hours of sleep.

The website also states the following: “NOTICE: BECAUSE THERMOLEAN IS SO STRONG, WE RECOMMEND 60 DAYS ON FOLLOWED BY 2 WEEKS OFF FOR BEST RESULTS.”

How much does ThermoLean cost?

One bottle of 120 capsules of ThermoLean diet pills costs $37.99. If you take the maximum recommended dose of 6 capsules per day, one bottle will last 20 days. This equals about $57 per month. This is very expensive considering they don’t tell you everything that is in ThermoLean.

ThermoLean conclusion

This ThermoLean review finds that this is a mediocre product. It does contain synephrine and caffeine, both of which have been shown to contribute to weight loss. However, they do not give the concentration of synephrine used, so we cannot be sure it will be effective. Also, they do not list the ingredients contained in the “Proprietary Formula”.

I prefer not to take anything that refuses to tell me what it contains. Choose a product that is forthcoming about its ingredients, one that includes proven ingredients in proven amounts.
