Aspire is a weight loss product marketed solely towards women that claims to be the “solution women like you have been waiting for.”

So how does Aspire stack up against the competition? This Aspire review will take a look at their ingredients, marketing, guarantee, and pricing to help you decide for yourself.

Ingredients

The Aspire weight loss product consists of 3 different formulas: Cleanse, Weight Loss, & Appetite Suppressant.

Cleanse is designed kick start your weight loss by ridding your body of toxins.
Weight Loss is meant to boost your energy and your fat burning capabilities.
Appetite Suppressant is (surprise!) supposed to help you eat less.

Aspire Cleanse

Lactobacillus Acidophilus
Psyllium Seed
Aloe Vera
Cascara Sagrada – A natural laxative, cascara sagrada is effective but has a number of side effects and safety warnings (such as don’t take it for longer than 7 days in a row).
Milk Thistle Seed
Fennel Seed
Rhubarb Root
Raspberry Leaf
Flaxseed
Goldenseal Herb
Dandelion Leaf

This is a pretty standard mix of fibers designed to cleanse your system.

Aspire Weight Loss

Raspberry
Guarana – Has shown to be effective when combined with yerba mate and damiana.
Green Tea – An effective and proven weight loss ingredient, green tea helps to increase the metabolic rate and is known for its fat burning capabilities.
GuggulsteronesWhile many claim that it aids in fat burning, research is lacking that supports this theory.
Rhodiola Rosea
Cinnamon Bark
Yerba Mate – Has shown to be effective when combined with guarana and damiana.
Banaba
Ginseng – Many believe that ginseng aids in weight loss, and early studies seem slightly supportive, but more definitive research is needed.
Dandelion Root
Alpha-lipoic Acid – While it’s true the alpha-lipoic acid helps produce energy, studies suggest that your body already makes enough of it so more isn’t likely to do much good.
Evodiamine
Chromium – Chromium plays in important role in blood sugar regulation. More research is needed, however, that shows that chromium supplementation leads directly to weight loss.

Aspire Appetite Suppressant

GlucomannanA dietary fiber that has quite a bit of research backing up its claims to be an effective appetite suppressant.
Fibersol-2
Hoodia GordoniiHoodia is a fad ingredient that has almost zero research backing up its claims to aid in weight loss through appetite suppression. It became popular by marketing, and not for its efficacy.

Some of the ingredients in Aspire are good and some are hype. If they disclosed the amounts of each ingredient, it would be much easier to gauge it’s effectiveness.

Aspire’s Marketing

First, the positive. I like that Aspire lists all of the ingredients in the different formulas and even has a little information about each one. This can be found by going to the FAQ’s, then clicking the question about the ingredients. While I wish they told us how much of each ingredient is in the mix, they’ve done more than some companies that I’ve seen.

What I don’t like about Aspire’s marketing is that the entire website feels like some hyped up sales pitch that almost tries to play off of people’s insecurities. You’ll see comments such as, “Do You Feel Like Crying When You Look In The Mirror? Use Aspire And Laugh Out Loud When You Get On The Scale” or “heads will turn wherever and whenever you walk by.”

Oh, and this was a favorite:

You should not be spending your time worrying or crying about your weight. If you really want to be slim and gorgeous and wear those hot bathing suits you’ve seen on the beaches (and only dreamed of wearing), we have the answer you’ve been waiting for.

As if we have to be slim and skinny in order to be happy and beautiful. I hope you can see through the shallow marketing.

I don’t however, see any big red flags other than the distasteful sales copy.

Aspire’s Money Back Guarantee

I was glad to see that Aspire offers a 90 day money back guarantee. Anything over 60 days in this industry is pretty good, so 90 days is a pretty solid guarantee.

I’m somewhat confused at something in their guarantee. Here’s what it says (emphasis added): “If you’re not happy with Aspire, contact us within 90 days of your purchase date and return the unused portion (even if you’ve used everything), and you’ll get a full refund (less shipping), no questions asked!”

The first part makes me believe that you can only get a refund for the unused (or unopened) bottles. But the second part in parenthesis makes it sound like you get a refund on all bottles, even if they were used (and are now empty).

I don’t have any big reason to believe that this ambiguous terminology isn’t intentionally trying to trick consumers, but If I were you I’d play it safe and only count on getting refunded for unused bottles.

Aspire’s Price

A one month supply is $49.97. If it’s effective, this isn’t a bad price for a weight loss product. Of course, they suggest you take it for 3 to 6 months (likely to pad their pockets a little more).

Conclusion

The Aspire weight loss product consist of a pretty good ingredient profile. Many of the ingredients have been proven, and some have not. Overall, as long as the ingredients are included in the correct amounts (which we can’t verify since they don’t disclose it) than it’s likely to be fairly effective. I like their guarantee and the price is decent. I don’t, however, like the manner in which they’ve marketed their product. You be the judge.

Lipotrox is a diet pill of “pharmaceutical quality” (website). It supposedly causes the following:

“Appetite suppressant

Weight loss

Anti aging

Acne” (website).

This Lipotrox review shows that the claims made about Lipotrox are too good to be true; Lipotrox does not live up to its claims. It contains ineffective ingredients and the Lipotrox customer service is pitiful.

Lipotrox Ingredients

Proprietary Blend (735 mg)

Green tea does contribute to weight loss. However, Lipotrox fails to disclose how much green tea it contains. Therefore, it is impossible for this Lipotrox review to determine if there is enough green tea to cause weight loss.

Hoodia is a gimmicky ingredient. It is endorsed by celebrities, but there is NO scientific evidence that hoodia does anything for weight loss.

Acai Extract is another ingredient that is all hype. Acai does NOT contribute to weight loss.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) produces energy. However, your body makes plenty of ALA on its own; you don’t need to supplement with it.

Garlic Extract is used to treat a variety of maladies, but it does not cause weight loss.

Barley Powder and Buckwheat both have healthy benefits, but they do not cause weight loss.

DMAE is supposed to enhance mood. Studies have shown DMAE could have dangerous effects. DMAE does not contribute to weight loss.

Flaxseed powder

Lactobacillus Acid

Salmon Powder

Wheat Grass Extract has healthy benefits, but it does not cause weight loss.

Alfalfa Extract

Cayenne Pepper Powder may contribute to weight loss by increasing energy and lowering food intake, but more research is needed to substantiate these claims.

Soybean Extract

The Lipotrox website says Lipotrox diet pills are also available without caffeine (meaning it does not contain green tea). Well, green tea is the only proven ingredient in Lipotrox.

Lipotrox Cost

Lipotrox diet pills cost $19.95 for a one month supply. According to the Lipotrox website, Lipotrox normally costs $34.95 for a one month supply. Companies often do this to make you think you are getting a great deal so you are more likely to buy the product. Don’t get suckered into buying Lipotrox; there is no reason to believe Lipotrox will actually work.

Lipotrox Customer Service and Guarantee

There is no customer service phone number for Lipotrox. They do have a customer service email address. We emailed Lipotrox to find out about their guarantee, but we only got an auto response. They did not answer any of our questions. Thus, as the Lipotrox website says nothing about a guarantee or refund policy, we can only assume there is no guarantee with Lipotrox.

It is concerning that there is no good way to get a hold of Lipotrox customer service. That is enough itself to keep us from recommending Lipotrox.

Lipotrox Conclusion

This Lipotrox review finds Lipotrox diet pills are just another ineffective, overpriced diet pill. Don’t bother with this product; you will end up wanting your money back and you won’t be able to get it back. Do yourself a favor and go with a diet pill that includes proven ingredients in proven amounts.

Leptorexin’s ingredient profile contains both quality, proven ingredients as well as some that aren’t likely to do much. Often when we see a long list of ingredients such as this our first reaction is to assume that they aren’t able to fit enough of each ingredient in the pill to be effective. With Leptorexin, however, this may or may not be the case. They use proprietary blends, which is a big turnoff. But the amounts of those blends (or at least a couple of the blends) appears to possibly be sufficient to be effective. With all proprietary blends, however, it’s extremely difficult to give a solid answer as to its probable effectiveness.

Leptorexin Marketing

The first that we noticed is that Leptorexin looked incredibly familiar. Well if you look at PatenTrim, you may feel the same way. It looks like Leptorexin has copied many of the design features of PatenTrim. I’m not sure what exactly their strategy was for such a move, but it’s possible that they are trying to borrow from some of PatenTrim’s credibility.

Aside from that, the website is quite open about the ingredients (although they do use proprietary blends) and has some basic details about most of them. We like that. They do, however, use the overly abused TV logos, trying to make you think that they’ve been featured on them. That’s highly unlikely.

The Leptorexin Guarantee

They have a 100% lifetime money back guarantee. You can only return unopened bottles, but this is still much better than almost all of the other guarantees out there.

Leptorexin Cost

For one bottle it’s $59.99.

Leptorexin Conclusion

The ingredient profile in Leptorexin contains a myriad of ingredients. Some are good, some are mediocre. We like their great guarantee and if the pill is effective, the price isn’t too bad. It’s always hard to fully recommend something that uses proprietary blends, so Leptorexin gets a pretty average review. There may be better solutions out there, but it is likely to help you lose weight.

This Leptodrene review will dissect the claims about Leptodrene’s research as well as explain the details about the Leptodrene ingredients to reveal what Leptodrene diet pills will actually do.

Leptodrene Ingredients

Green Tea (50% caffeine)
Cayenne Pepper Extract
Acai Extract
Garlic Extract
Barley Extract
Buckwheat Extract
Flaxseed Extract
Lactobacillus Acidophillus
Salmon Oil Powder
Alfalfa Extract
Soybean Extract
Wheatgrass Extract
Alpha lipoic Acid
DMAE
Idebenone

Green tea is a proven diet pill ingredient; it increases metabolic rate. However, Leptodrene does not say how much green tea it contains, making it impossible for this Leptodrene review to determine if Leptodrene diet pills contain enough green tea to be effective.

Research shows cayenne pepper may contribute to weight loss by lowering food intake and increasing energy. More research is needed to determine how much cayenne pepper is needed for weight loss.

Acai is the new hoodia. It is endorsed by various celebrities and television programs. Despite what some big names claim, there is NO research to prove that Acai actually contributes to weight loss.

Garlic helps regulate blood sugar levels, which can lead to weight loss.

Barley and buckwheat both have healthy benefits, but they have not been proven to contribute to weight loss.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is needed to produce energy. Many diet pill companies include ALA in their formula, but your body creates enough ALA; you don’t need to supplement with more.

DMAE is supposed to have a positive effect on mood. Studies have shown some possible dangerous effects due to DMAE. More research is needed before we can endorse DMAE as a diet pill ingredient.

Idebonone is supposed to slow the aging process of the skin.

Leptodrene Cost

Leptodrene costs $29.99 for a 2 month supply (according to the website, this saves you $59). Many diet pill companies tell you are saving a bunch of money to make you think you are getting a great deal. Leptodrene is relatively inexpensive, but considering they hide how much of the proven ingredients are included, $29.99 is too much.

Leptodrene Guarantee

The Leptodrene website says if you are not pleased with their product you can return it for a “full and hassle free refund.” They do not give specifics about how to return the product or how long it takes to get the refund.

Leptodrene Research

The Leptodrene website claims, “The research conducted on Leptodrene is the most in-depth and comprehensive to date.” They fail to mention anything about this supposed research. They do not say who conducted the research or when or where it was done. Diet pill companies often claim there has been research done on their product, but in reality they have done their own research (or sometimes they haven’t done any at all) and have doctored the results to make their product look better.

The lack of information about the research on Leptodrene makes us question this product.

Leptodrene Conclusion

This Leptodrene review finds Leptodrene is just another typical diet pill. They hide how much of each ingredient they include in their formula and they do not explain their bold claims about their supposed research. Look for a diet pill company that can substantiate their claims with real research.

Leptitrex is a weight loss supplement that claims by taking it you will “Lose 7 Pounds Every 7 Days Effortlessly”. The first thing you will notice about Leptitrex is lengthy list of ingredients; there are about 50 ingredients in this supplement. Leptitrex claims it will not only help you lose weight but it will also detox your body, eliminate acne, feel euphoric, suppress appetite, and build muscle. That is great if you are looking for all of those things, but what if you just want to lose weight?

Just what is in Leptitrex?

The list is long and we could probably write a book with information on each ingredient. Leptitrex contains 6 “Keys” which, according to their website, are:

1. Vitamins & Mineral blend – Vitamin C, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, Chromium Polynicontinate, Selenium

2. Motivation & Hunger – Chocamine, Di-Caffeine Malate, Rhodiola Rosea, St. John’s Wort, L-Tyrosine, Picamilon, Phenylalanine, hops, Phenylethylamine (PEA), Synephrine, Ginkgo, Siberian Ginseng, Ginger, 5-HTP, and Vinpocetine

3. Superfoods – Barley, Garlic, Cayenne, Buckwheat, Soybeans, Flaxseed, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Wheatgrass, Acai, and alfalfa. These ingredients supposedly help in eliminating acne.

4. Lean Muscle Matrix – Forslean, L-Glutamine, Creatine Monohydrate, L-Arginine, Avena Sativa, Mucuna Pruniens, Ipriflavone, Ecdysterone

5. Body & liver detox – dandelion root, milk thistle, licorice, cranberry, uva ursi, and sage

6. Anti Aging matrix – green tea, DMAE, acetyl-L-Carnitine, and alpha lipoic acid

While the ingredients are all listed, there are no specific amounts listed for any of the ingredients. This is your standard “proprietary blend” that we see a lot in the diet pill industry. It’s completely out of the ordinary for companies not to use a proprietary blend these days, so we have a hard time making it count against anyone. (That being said, there are a few companies that disclose everything, so we do give special consideration to those).

Because Leptitrex contains a whole slew of ingredients, you’re going to be dealing with multiple pills. Don’t let this be a huge deterrent to you unless you have a hard time swallowing pills. What would worry me more is if Leptitrex were to list all of these ingredients and then only require one or two pills as the dosage…that would smell like a scam.

What does the Research say about Leptitrex?

Well, there has been no research done on Leptitrex itself, only on some of the individual ingredients. Several of the ingredients have been proven effective in weight loss, specifically Forslean and green tea. However, many of the ingredients are a bit disputed in their effectiveness, including 5-HTP and DMAE. Many of the other ingredients have not been researched enough to determine their effectiveness. Although some ingredients do have clinical backing, it is impossible to say whether or not these ingredients are effective in Leptitrex because the amounts of the ingredients are not disclosed.

Several ingredients are included as mood enhancers (including PEA and DMAE). PEA has been clinically proven to promote energy and elevate mood. ((http://neuro.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/abstract/7/1/6))

The Leptitrex Website Claims:

“Recent Clinical studies prove the Effectiveness of 2 ingredients in the Leptitrex Lean Muscle Matrix:

1) Seventy-eight highly trained athletes were given either placebo, protein, or a key ingredient in Leptitrex + protein. The combination of Leptitrex’s ingredient and protein resulted in up to a 13% reduction in body fat and a 6% to 7% increase in muscle tissue. This was within a period of only 10 days.

2) University study on another PATENTED ingredient in Leptitrex shows test subjects lost 9.9 lbs of body FAT on average in the course of 12 weeks. They were also able to GAIN Lean Muscle Tissue thus greatly increasing their metabolic rate and likelihood of long term success.”

It is interesting that not only does Leptitrex fail to say which ingredients were tested, but they also fail to give any concrete evidence on when the studies were done or who conducted the studies.

Leptitrex Marketing

Leptitrex does most of the marketing by word of mouth. This is actually a very positive sign, since you can be assured that consumers won’t refer their friends to an ineffective product. They do not have a customer service phone number, only an email address. On the up side, they do have a “Lifetime Money Back Guarantee”. All you have to do is return your empty bottle (because they want you to try an entire bottle before returning it) and any unopened bottles for a “quick refund” minus shipping and handling.

How Much Does Leptitrex Cost?

Leptitrex normally costs $99.95 per bottle (a one month supply), but if you “BUY NOW before it’s Too Late!” you can get a discount.

Leptitrex Review Conclusion

Leptitrex is trying too hard to cover all the bases. By focusing on fewer ingredients they could do more research and be sure to include proper amounts of effective ingredients. They may have spread themselves a bit thin. With a lifetime moneyback guarantee, it may be worth a shot but, of course, that’s ultimately up for you to decide.

Leptovox is one of those products that’s trying to do it all — We’re going to dive into this review and examine the merits behind the Leptovox claim.

Letpovox has gathered quite a loyal following on the internet. The story most likely goes that the company behind Lipovox (a similar product) saw the success of Leptovox and copied it. It happens all the time with diet pills and for the most part, goes unchecked (because it happens so fast). For example, take Nuphedragen and Fenphedra and let me know which you prefer (I actually prefer Fenphedra).

The Leptovox Difference

What is the difference between Leptovox and Lipovox? The 10 Superfoods are present in both. For a quick refresher, the 10 superfoods, known for their extremely healthy qualities are listed below. I’ve referenced where I’ve reviewed one of the ingredients in more depth. As time presents itself, I hope to have reviews available for all of them:

Brazilian Acai

Cayenne Pepper Fruit

Garlic (see my garlic review)

Soybeans

Barley

Wheatgrass

Kefir

Alfalfa

Flaxseed

Buckwheat

The differences lie in the few other ingredients:

Leptovox

Lipovox

Idebenone

EGCG (green tea)

Green Tea

Salmon Oil Powder

Alpha Lipoic Acid

DMAE

Idebenone is supposed to help the skin slow the aging process and is present in plenty of wrinkle creams that you apply topically. Green tea is an effective stimulant for weight loss, and ALA has great benefits.

Are these differences big enough to stew over? Definitely.

Leptovox Reviewed Further

One thing that might give Leptovox something extra though is the fact that it comes with a 7-day detoxification pill. These are not to be used regularly, as detoxifying your body too frequently can cause problems. But detoxification in moderation is very healthful. The weight lost from detoxification is not fat loss. For the most part it’s just your body getting rid of waste. You may notice that your stomach is a bit slimmer, but just a bit.

The only time I ever did a detox, it did feel great so I’d recommend giving it a shot. It’s nice they bundle the detox with Leptovox so you can use them in concert with each other.

If you buy a bunch of Leptovox you get a whole slew of other diet pills so you can stack them for maximum results. One is a carb/fat blocker and another is an herbal “pick me up” if you will. We won’t get into these specifically, but I wanted to put that out there.

Leptovox Guarantee

Leptovox comes with a Lifetime moneyback guarantee, which instills confidence in me only when I’ve tested their customer service. I did just that and sent them my normal email asking about an order that hadn’t arrived yet. They responded about 14 hours later asking me for more information so they could resolve the issue. Test passed.

Anyway, the lifetime guarantee is also done by Lipovox, but I don’t see it done by too many other diet pill companies so kudos to Leptovox for that.

Overall Conclusion with Leptovox

If you’re looking for bang for your buck, Leptovox is a great bet. The 10 Superfoods are well known possessing very desirable nutritional profiles and the extra ingredients there (particularly the green tea) aid in weight loss quite a bit. Letpovox is a solid bet, wit natural ingredients, so it gets a thumbs up.

Lipovox is one of my favorite diet pills. Not because it has some amazing ingredient complex (though they do score points for being unique) or flashy packaging, but because they have the most unique sales pitch I’ve ever read.

The Lipovox Story

They let it start out in the serene state of Hawaii.

The gist of it is (and I can’t confirm the veracity of the story, entertaining–yes, true? Who knows. It’s probably somewhere in between) that a college student was watching Oprah where a certain Dr. Perricone was on the show talking about superfoods that combat the body’s natural aging process.

It may have been this show.

You can find the ten superfoods listed here.

The end of the story is that people not only improved their skin, but also lost weight. Too good to be true? I took a closer look.

Lipovox Ingredients (the “Superfoods”)

One of the superfoods listed is wheatgrass, which I reviewed (I’m neutral on it–healthy, yes, but does it do all the things proponents claim it can do? Research is lacking).

“Anything from the ‘Allium Family’” includes garlic, which is what Lipovox includes. Garlic is a very healthy supplement. I took an in-depth look at garlic earlier today.

The full list of Lipovox ingredients (there are a ton):

Brazilian Acai

Cayenne Pepper Fruit

Garlic (garlic review)

Soybeans Isoflavones

Barley

Wheatgrass (wheatgrass review)

Lactobacillus Acidophilus

Alfalfa Sprouts

Flaxseed

Buckwheat

Green Tea Extract (green tea review)

Salmon Oil Powder

Alpha Lipoic Acid

DMAE

I hope to eventually review all of the ingredients included in Lipovox, but the heavy hitting weight loss ingredient (Green Tea) is already covered. Flaxseed and Buckwheat should help with appetite suppression and it’s a given that Lactobacillus Acidophilus is a healthy probiotic.

It’s a tossup. They don’t provide supplement facts, so it’s impossible to tell how much of these ingredients are in Lipovox.

As you can read in my review of Green Tea, research indicates that Green Tea does increase the metabolic rate and, hence, help you burn more calories. These other ingredients are healthful so all in all, the ingredient profile here is pretty strong.

Lipovox Customer Service

Email #1

I emailed Lipovox customer service and inquired about “my order” that I had placed two weeks before. I didn’t act irate, but the tone of my email was certainly one of annoyance. They responded in 10 minutes–literally. I thought that was a bit of an anomaly (maybe they were doing emails right then and I got lucky).

Email #2

So I sent another the next day from a different email address under a different name, different wording but similar situation. The response came back in three hours.

You may consider implementing this customer service strategy with any company where you’re considering purchasing. It’s important that you don’t just inquire about purchasing. Of course they’re going to answer that one quickly. You have to pretend you’ve already purchased and gauge their willingness to respond you once they already have your money.

Lipovox‘ customer service team passed my little test.

Lipovox Acne Spin

I don’t know how I feel about Dr. Perricone. It seems to me it’s just his way of making a buck. If your skin does improve taking Lipovox, just consider it gravy — I wouldn’t buy this as a skin care pill. I would buy it as a weight loss pill with a potential side benefit.

Lipovox Testimonials

If you read this site for longer than about three minutes you’ll realize that I don’t put any stock in testimonials as they are written on a company’s website. Those are far too easy to fabricate. For instance, look at this testimonial I just received:

Cal, you are the hottest anonymous diet pill critic I have ever seen. Please, let’s meet up.

Julie — Atlanta, GA

And that’s about all it takes. A few keystrokes and a bit of an imagination.

I do attempt to find feedback about products that come from actual users of the product. Internet forums don’t help. Anyone can post there. Blogs don’t help. Anyone can leave a comment. Amazon? That’s a bit better. Though even with Amazon, anyone can leave a review. eBay? eBay’s a special case and one that I like. You can only give feedback if you’re on record as having purchased that product from that seller.

I found Lipovox for sale on eBay and it appears that the Lipovox company is the outlet there. I contacted the seller and verified that they are indeed the same company as Lipovox.com. They’re feedback there, as of this writing, is at 98.5% — with over 50,000 feedback ratings! I couldn’t believe their success there.

Now, eBay feedback taken into consideration, maybe this college kid really did stumble onto something. I don’t put a lot of stock into the superfoods, as I’ve already mentioned, but I’m having a hard time coming up with the reason why in the face of their actual customer feedback.

Lipovox Negatives

I don’t like when companies place images of magazines on their site to somehow add credibility. Lipovox did that with their Oprah, Shape, Fitness, and Self magazines spread across the top. Yes, Oprah talked about the superfoods with Dr. Perricone, but that is hardly an endorsement for Lipovox specifically.

They don’t provide supplement facts. Not many do without some sort of proprietary blend (off the top of my head, Fenphedra does) I wish the Lipovox company would.

They don’t provide a lot of information about the company behind Lipovox. While I’m put at ease when they respond to emails so quickly, I still wish they’d maybe say how long they’ve been around (from the ebay presence, I would say it’s several years–probably 3 or 4).

Lipovox Positives

Green Tea is an effective ingredient for weight loss and they have it in there. The other ingredients are certainly healthful.

They offer a moneyback guarantee and don’t try and rope you into some crappy, rip-off autoship like thermocerin and lipocerin.

Overall Conclusion on Lipovox

New spin on an old problem, astounding track record on ebay, a bit hypey on the marketing side, but overall a contender in the diet pill market. I give Lipovox a green light.
