Clinical studies have shown that these three ingredients (when used in conjunction in the appropriate amounts) do cause weight loss. However, Zotrim fails to list how much of each ingredient it contains. Therefore, it is impossible to know if Zotrim will cause weight loss.

While we do like the inclusion of Yerba Mate, Guarana, and Damiana, we would like to see another power player ingredient included as well, such as green tea or synephrine.

Zotrim Cost

Zotrim diet pills cost $19.95 for a one month supply. The Zotrim website claims the price is regularly $58.95.

Diet pill companies use this tactic to make you think you are getting a great deal so you will be more likely to purchase their product.

Although $19.95 is relatively inexpensive for a month supply of diet pills, since Zotrim hides how much of each ingredient is included, there is no way of knowing if it will cause weight loss. Therefore, any amount of money is too much to pay for Zotrim.

Zotrim and Clinical Trials

The Zotrim website claims, “We know from our clinical trials that whilst taking Zotrim you can experience an average weight loss of 11 lbs in 6 weeks, with a healthy rate of weight loss of 1-2lbs a week.” This is the only information about their “clinical trials”. There is no information about when, where, or who did the study.

Again, this is common among diet pill companies; they supposedly conduct their own clinical trials, but they are done in-house so they can tailor the results to their desires. We give no weight to Zotrim’s claims about clinical trials because there is no published information.

Zotrim Affiliate Program

Zotrim has an Affiliate Program (pyramid scheme) to help you earn money. In other words, you try to talk your friends and family into buying Zotrim and you get commission for every purchase they make. This is yet another tactic to get more of your hard-earned cash into Zotrim’s pocket. Don’t buy into it.
In addition to the Affiliate Program, you can sell your success story to Zotrim for them to publish on their website. This helps you see there is no credibility for any of these success stories.

Zotrim Guarantee

The Zotrim website says nothing about a guarantee for their product. We emailed their customer service about a guarantee but have not yet heard back from them (it is unusual for us to even get a response after emailing customer service). They do not have a customer service phone number.

This Zotrim review finds Zotrim could help you lose weight, but since they fail to list how much of each ingredient is included, there is no way of knowing. Save yourself time and money and go with a product that includes proven ingredients in the necessary amounts.

LipoFlush diet pills supposedly “dramatically decrease body fat, increase energy levels, preserve skeletal muscle, and provide major health benefits” (website). Hydroxycitric Acid Update

On May 1, 2009 the FDA issued a warning to consumers to stop taking Hydroxycut-branded products. Over more than 7 years they have received 23 reports of health related issues with those taking Hydroxycut-branded products. The main health concern appears to be serious liver-related problems. Iovate Health Sciences Inc., the makers of Hydroxcut, have voluntarily recalled all of the products under question in the FDA’s report

Common symptoms of liver complications include:

• jaundice (yellowing of the skin)

• unusual tiredness

Therefore, it is impossible for this LipoFlush review to determine if the Synephrine in LipoFlush diet pills is enough to contribute to weight loss.

Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) (100 mg) does contribute to weight loss, but 100 mg isn’t going to do much.

The supposed research was done in-house (which usually means they have altered the results to make them more favorable). Metabromine is an appetite suppressant and metabolism booster. Clinical studies are lacking at this point.

How much does Zalestrim cost?

According to the Zalestrim website,

What are the side effects of Zalestrim?

Chocamine–I’m neutral, leaning positive on this ingredient. Cocoa itself is effective for endurance, but Chocamine’s has such a deluge of ingredients inside it, it’s tough to really zero in on effectiveness.

Cinnamon–it has been used for years to help regulate blood sugar. Does it directly help you lose weight? That question still remains. With little to no research supporting it, the jury is still out on cinnamon’s efficacy.

Damiana–When combined with yerba mate and guarana, damiana has been shown to be effective in promoting weight loss. However, on its own damiana has not been shown to cause weight loss.

Razberi K–Studies show raspberry ketones induced weight loss in mice with a diet containing 2% of the total diet as raspberry ketones. No studies have been done on humans. Note: in order to take in 2% of raspberry ketones as your total diet you would have to take a ton of these CurvaTrim diet pills. Once again, Methyl Ripped does not disclose how much of this ingredient is included. With an ingredient profile like this, Clinitrim-5 quickly becomes one of my favorites. Why, you may ask, don’t other diet pill companies use ingredients backed by clinical studies very often? Because the creators of these ingredients have invested serious amounts of money in research and development, they charge premiums for their ingredients. Diet pill manufacturers, for the most part, don’t like paying a premium for their ingredients because it cuts into their margins.

Clinitrim-5 apparently decided to accept lower margins for a more effective product. Kudos to them for that.

Clinitrim 5’s Marketing Approach

Clinitrim’s sales pitch is a breath of fresh air. Instead of using sex (which we noticed is a favorite of Fentraphen, one of our recommended pills in the stimulant category), they use science.

Also it’s interesting to note that Clinitrim approaches your supplementation with your results in mind instead of their bottom line. The fact that they have you cycling means two things:

1. Your body will respond more favorably (cycling has proven to be much more effective as your body becomes less accustomed to the supplementation).
2. You won’t have to buy as much Clinitrim-5. Why? Because you’ll obviously be using it less. Most diet pill companies push the highest dosage possible so you’ll use as much as possible and they’ll be able to make as much as possible.

Clinitrim’s Pricing and Moneyback Guarantee

As of this writing, Clinitrim’s pricing is $59.95 per bottle. While anything looks like a bargain compared to rip-offs (Zantrex-3, Leptopril, Leptoprin), Clinitrim still appears to be favorably priced when I compare its ingredient profile to other diet pills priced in the same range. Considering the fact that bulk discounts garner an even lower per-bottle rate, the pricing starts to look very fair.

Clinitrim’s ingredient profile is great, one of the best in class, and edging out Anoretix as the patented option of choice in that category.
