72 Hour Slimming Pill is a diet pill that supposedly helps you lose 7-15 pounds in a three day period. This 72 Hour Slimming Pill review will detail the ingredients in 72 Hour Slimming Pill and give you the straight truth on what this product will really do for you.

72 Hour Slimming Pill Ingredients

Dandelion root
Uva Ursi is used to treat diarrhea, headaches, and bladder infections. There is concern of a possible drug interaction when Uva Ursi is combined with diuretics like Buchu and Juniper.
Buchu has been proven to cause weight loss in mice, but there is no evidence that it does anything to cause weight loss in humans.
Juniper Berry does cause weight loss in mice, but not in humans.
Cornsilk
Couch grass
Parsley
Stinging nettle
Cranberry
Cayenne may cause weight loss, but more research is needed.
Ginger has been shown to contribute to weight loss in mice but not in humans.
Milk thistle
Vitamin B6 is important to good health, but it does not cause weight loss.
Magnesium does not cause weight loss.
Potassium Citrate does not cause weight loss.

There is no real scientific evidence that 72 Hour Slimming Pill actually causes weight loss. In all reality, it might keep you on the toilet for three days and cause short term weight loss. The website does state, “Some customers experience more frequent bowel movements.” Don’t be fooled, though, 72 Hour Slimming Pill is not the answer to your long term weight loss goals.

72 Hour Slimming Pill Cost

72 Hour Slimming Pill costs $12.99 per bottle. There is a discount for bulk purchases. Each bottle contains a 30 day supply; you should wait 30 days between bottles of 72 Hour Slimming Pill.

The price for 72 Hour Slimming Pill really isn’t too bad as diet pills go. However, there is no scientific evidence to prove that 72 Hour Slimming Pill actually works, so any amount of money is too much to pay for this product.

Also, there is NO guarantee on 72 Hour Slimming Pill, so don’t expect to get your money back. If you do decide to buy 72 Hour Slimming Pill, we would suggest buying just 1 bottle so you aren’t out so much money if (when) it doesn’t work.

72 Hour Slimming Pill Conclusion

So, the question is: Will 72 Hour Slimming Pill actually cause weight loss? This 72 Hour Slimming Pill review finds 72 Hour Slimming Pill might cause temporary weight loss, but it will keep you on the toilet for at least three days.

You will mostly be losing water weight, so you will see the scale go back up within a few days or weeks of taking 72 Hour Slimming Pill. For real weight loss, go with a diet pill that contains clinically proven ingredients in the appropriate amounts. Look through our recommended products to find a diet pill that will work for you.

The makers of the original Lipovox have upped the ante by packing in even more ingredients and creating an even better diet pill: Lipovox Hardcore Detox. Where Lipovox claims to “burn up to 400% more fat than with just diet and exercise alone”, Lipovox Hardcore Detox now claims to burn up to 900% more. But just how different is new Lipovox Hardcore Detox formula? Very different!

Lipovox Hardcore Detox Ingredients

Lipovox Hardcore Detox doesn’t just have a long name, it also has a long list of ingredients. They’ve broken them down into a few different sections:

Patented Ingredient Blend (655mg)
Tonalin Cla
Super CitriMax
Pinnothin
Advantra-Z
NeOpuntia
Phase-2
7-Keto DHEA
Forslean
FucoPure

SuperFood Blend (400mg)
Acai
Cayenne
Wheatgrass
Garlic
Lactbacillus Acidophilus
Soybean Extract
LinumLife Flaxseed Lignans
Alfalfa
Buckwheat

Instant Detox Blend (710mg)
Dandelion Root
Uva Ursi
Buchu
Celery Seed
Psyllium Husk
Lemon Balm
Couchgrass
Milk Thistle
Parsley
Ginger

Antioxidant Blend (400mg)
Green Tea (50% caffeine)
Caffeine Anhydrous
DMAE
Alpha Lipoic Acid

The short of it is that you’re getting a lot of high quality weight loss ingredients here. They’ve basically taken the SuperFood ingredient profile of the original Lipovox and added a ton of other effective ingredients. Many of them have been proven in clinical studies to aid in weight loss. I would like to see them disclose how much of each individual ingredient is included.

You can click on the ingredients above to read the full reviews of the ingredients.

With so many ingredients packed in, it’s no wonder they had to go from 60 capsules to 180!

***Note***

Because of the recent concern and newly found evidence that the ingredient Hydroxycitric Acid (HCA) may be linked to certain health concerns dealing with the liver, we are no longer recommending Lipovox Hardcore Detox. Lipovox Hardcore Detox contains Super CitriMax, whose active component is HCA. The FDA, in a recent warning about Hydroxycut-branded products, said: “The agency has not yet determined which ingredients, dosages, or other health-related factors may be associated with risks related to these Hydroxycut products.”

While FDA hasn’t specifically identified HCA as the culprit, some believe that it may responsible for the health problems. One can never be too cautious. As such, all products containing HCA are no longer recommended on this website.

For more information on the FDA’s warning against Hydroxycut and possible dangers to the liver due to HCA, see the Hydroxycut Review.

Great Money Back Guarantee

One the things that really impressed me with Lipovox Hardcore Detox is their money back guarantee. In the diet pill industry, a good guarantee is anything from 60 to 90 days. Lipovox HardCore Detox offers a Lifetime guarantee on all unopened bottles AND on one empty bottle. This kind of guarantee is rarely seen in this industry.

Not a Big Fan of the Marketing

The same as the original Lipovox website, Lipovox Hardcore Detox still has the magazine covers posted near the top of the site. This is a common tactic used to add perceived credibility. It implies that the product was either feature in or endorsed by the magazine or celebrity. For example, the SuperFoods were definitely covered in both the Oprah magazine and TV show, but in no way did they endorse the Lipovox Hardcore Detox product.

Price

The Lipovox Hardcore Detox website has the product listed at $49.99 (only $20 more than the original Lipovox). If the product is effective, this is a decent price for a diet pill.

Conclusion

Lipovox Hardcore Detox is definitely a step up from the original Lipovox formula. The inclusion of so many proven ingredients should add quite a bit to its effectiveness. Since the appearance of possible health issues associated with HCA, however, I’m not able to recommend the diet pill. The price is good and the guarantee is stellar. If it weren’t for the HCA, I’d give Lipovox a green light.

This Thyro-Slim AM/PM review shows that there is no truth behind the claims made about Thyro-Slim. It simply will not cause weight loss.

Hydroxycitric Acid Update

On May 1, 2009 the FDA issued a warning to consumers to stop taking Hydroxycut-branded products. Over more than 7 years they have received 23 reports of health related issues with those taking Hydroxycut-branded products. The main health concern appears to be serious liver-related problems. Iovate Health Sciences Inc., the makers of Hydroxcut, have voluntarily recalled all of the products under question in the FDA’s report

Common symptoms of liver complications include:

jaundice (yellowing of the skin)

brown urine

light colored stools

unusual tiredness

stomach pain

itching

loss of appetite

weakness

vomiting

In light of the recent FDA warning concerning the possible dangers of Hydroxycut-branded diet pills, many believe that the associated health risks are likely due to the inclusion of the commonly used ingredient Hydroxycitric Acid, or HCA. And while according to the FDA, “The agency has not yet determined which ingredients, dosages, or other health-related factors may be associated with risks related to these Hydroxycut products. The products contain a variety of ingredients and herbal extracts.” you can never be too cautious.

So, while further study and research is needed to confirm the link between HCA and the liver problems, until proven otherwise any products that contain HCA are no longer recommended on this website.

Thyro-Slim AM Ingredients

Selenium (100 mcg) does not cause weight loss.

Copper (2 mg) does not cause weight loss.

Chromium (100 mcg) has shown conflicting results in clinical trials.

Energizing Blend (455 mg)

Guarana has been shown to contribute to weight loss, but only when combined with Yerba Mate and Damiana. Thyro-Slim AM does not contain either Yerba Mate or Damiana. Thus, this Thyro-Slim review finds the Guarana in Thyro-Slim will NOT cause weight loss.

Green tea has been proven to contribute to weight loss when used in doses of 300 mg per day or more. Thyro-Slim AM includes green tea in a proprietary blend, so there is no way of knowing if it contains enough green tea to be effective.

Garcinia Cambogia (500 mg) has been shown to contribute to weight loss.

Green orange fruit extract Citrus Aurantium (200 mg) contains synephrine, which has been proven to contribute to weight loss. However, the most important thing to note with synephrine is the concentration–the higher the better. Thyro Slim AM fails to list the concentration of synephrine it contains.

Thyrogenic T-3 Complex (250 mg)

Gugglipid supposedly increases thyroid function, but studies have shown varying results.

Bladderwrack kelp

Atlantic kelp

Sargassi seaweed

L-Tyrosine (175 mg) contributes to weight loss, but only when used in doses of 500 to 1500 mg per day. Thyro-Slim AM diet pills do not contain nearly enough L-Tyrosine to cause weight loss.

White Willow Bark (100 mg) is an anti-inflammatory. It has not been shown to cause weight loss.

The only proven ingredient included in the necessary amount is garcinia cambogia. Thus, this Thyro-Slim AM/PM review finds Thyro-Slim AM diet pills are not worth taking.

Thyro-Slim PM Ingredients

Vitamin B6 (10 mg)

Chromium (100 mcg) has shown varying results in clinical trials.

Soothing Herbal Blend (100 mg)

Wild Jujube Seed

Chamomile Flower

Passion Flower

Cleansing Blend (250 mg)

Senna Leaf

Rhubarb root

Cascara Sagrada Bark

Cassia

St. John’s Bread

Apple fruit

Tamarind fruit

Date fruit

Fig fruit

Water Balance Blend (250 mg)

Uva Ursi has actually been shown to have dangerous interactions with diuretics like Buchu and Juniper (which are both contained in Thyro-Slim PM diet pills.

Dandelion Root

Cranberry fruit

Buchu leaf

Cornsilk

Couchgrass herb

Hydrangea

Juniper

Artichoke

Restoration & Adrenal Support Blend (200 mg)

Licorice root

Astragalus

Ginger

Thyrogenic T-3 Complex (250 mg)

Guggulipid

Atlantic kelp

Bladderwrack kelp

Sergassi Seaweed

Thyro-Slim PM diet pills contain NO proven ingredients. They are not worth your time or money.

Thyro-Slim AM/PM Cost

A 21-day supply of Thyro-Slim AM/PM costs $24.99.This is not especially expensive for a diet pill, but considering there is only ONE proven ingredient in Thyro-Slim, any amount is too much to pay.

Thyro-Slim AM/PM Marketing

Thyro-Slim is manufactured by Maximum Human Performance (MHP). The MHP website is full of photos of bulging biceps and unbelievable testimonials. Don’t be fooled by their marketing. Thyro-Slim will do nothing for weight loss. Don’t waste your money on it.

Thyro-Slim AM/PM Conclusion

This Thyro-Slim AM/PM review finds Thyro-Slim is nothing special. Between the two formulas there is only ONE proven ingredient contained in a proven amount. Thyro-Slim will not give you the results you are looking for. Find a diet pill that contains proven ingredients in proven amounts; our recommended products are a great place to start.

This Thyro-Slim AM/PM review shows that there is no truth behind the claims made about Thyro-Slim. It simply will not cause weight loss.

DetoxuFREE72 is supposed to provide drastic weight loss results in only 72 hours. They claim, “DetoxuFREE72 is supposed to jump start your diet and send your results into hyper drive” (Apidexin website). This DetoxuFREE72 review will reveal the truth behind DetoxuFREE72 to help you see what you might (or might not) be able to expect from DetoxuFREE72 diet pills.

DetoxuFREE72 Ingredients

Dandelion Root (1250 mg) is included in many diet pills, but more evidence is needed to prove that it actually contributes to weight loss.

Buchu (250 mg) has been shown to be a diuretic.

Uva Ursi (250 mg) is commonly used to treat headaches and bladder infections. There is evidence that Uva Ursi can have drug interactions with diuretics (including Buchu).

Milk Thistle (250 mg) does not contribute to weight loss.

DetoxuFREE72 Price

The only place we found DetoxuFREE72 diet pills for sale by themselves was on Ebay; they were $10 per bottle. You can get DetoxuFREE72 for free if you purchase Apidexin (see our Apidexin review).

DetoxuFREE72 claims and warnings

DetoxuFREE72 claims, “Most people average 5-15 pounds lost per detox phase. Detoxification is an important part of weight loss” (Apidexin website). If it is possible to lose such weight in 72 hours it is likely due to water loss. This is a pretty heavy claim. Take it for what it’s worth.

DetoxuFREE72 instructs you to use the entire bottle within 72 hours. They warn not to do any more detox for one month. They do not say what will happen if you do choose to do further detox within one month.

DetoxuFREE72 Conclusion

This DetoxuFREE72 review finds DetoxuFREE72 diet pills will not cause significant lasting weight loss. If you do lose weight, it will be only water weight and may come back quickly. It’s important to note, however, that this is a detox pill and not a regular diet pill. While it may not cause lasting weight loss, it’s not necessarily designed to. The detox pill is designed to be taken as part of a weight loss plan with other supplements. So if you’re looking at DetoxuFREE72, it may be a decent compliment to other supplements (like Apidexin), but it certainly won’t give you lasting weight loss when taken by itself.

Xpel Ingredients

Vitamin B12 50mg
Magnesium (from electrolyte blend) 100mg
Calcium (from electrolyte blend) 200mg
Potassium (from electrolyte blend) 90mg

Xeritone-PSD Herbal Diuretic Blend: 1,200mg
Buchu leaf (Barosma betulina)

Cornsilk stylus (Zea mays)

Couchgrass rhizome(Agropyron repens)

Hydrangea root (Hydrangea arborescens)

Juniper berry fruit (Juniperus communis)

Uva ursi leaf (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi)

Dandelion root 5:1 extract (20% taraxasterol and 3% choline)

Horsetail extract (7% soluble silica)(whole plant)

Electrolyte Blend: 1,141mg
Calcium carbonate

Potassium citrate

Calcium gluconate

Magnesium oxide

Green tea leaf & Guarana seed extract: 120mg
(providing 75mg caffeine)

Vitamin B12, Magnesium, Calcium, and Potassium have healthy benefits, but they have not been shown to contribute to weight loss.

Buchu and Juniper have shown to be a diuretic in mice, but no human studies have been done.

Uva Ursi is used to treat various medical problems such as headache and bladder infection. There is evidence that unsafe interactions can occur when Uva Ursi is combined with diuretics (like Buchu and Juniper).

There is no evidence that dandelion or horsetail contribute to weight loss.

Green tea has been shown to contribute to weight loss by increasing metabolic rate. However, studies proving green tea use 300 mg per day. This Xpel review finds there is not enough green tea in Xpel diet pills to contribute to weight loss.

Guarana has been proven to contribute to weight loss, but ONLY when combined with Damiana and Yerba Mate. Xpel diet pills do not contain Damiana or Yerba Mate.

Xpel claims to be better than other diuretics, but if you compare the ingredients, they are exactly the same.

Xpel Cost

Xpel diet pills cost $15.99 for 80 capsules. If you take the recommended dose of 8 capsules per day, one bottle will last 10 days. This is expensive for a diet pill. The only proven ingredient in Xpel is green tea, and there is not enough of it to make a difference in weight loss.

Xpel Guarantee

The MHP website (manufacturer of Xpel) states, “All Maximum Human Performance products are covered by a 100% Money-Back Guarantee. If you’re not completely satisfied with your product, simply return it with a brief description of the problem.” This guarantee provides little necessary information. It makes us wonder what the fine print about their guarantee really is.

Xpel Marketing

The MHP website is packed with pictures of bulging biceps on professional body builders. They must be going for a teenage audience because who honestly believes that a diuretic can give you a body builder’s body.

They claim, “The precise and ample amounts of water reducing ingredients in XPEL go to work around your muscle cells to eliminate excess water and give your skin a tight ‘plastic wrap’ appearance” (website). This is just another example of outrageous claims that cannot possibly be true. Using a diuretic will probably keep you on the toilet for a few days, but it is not going to increase your muscles.

Xpel Conclusion

This Xpel review finds Xpel diet pills are like any other diuretic. They contain only one proven ingredient, and there isn’t enough of it included to cause weight loss. Xpel tries to impress you with incredible photos and claims, but there is no scientific evidence that Xpel will cause any weight loss at all. Do yourself a favor and go with a diet pill that has proven ingredients in proven amounts.

72 Hour Diet Pill Ingredients

Potassium Gluconate 200 mg
Dandelion Root 1000 mg
Uva Ursi 500 mg
Buchu Leaves 250 mg
Juniper Berry 250 mg
Caffeine Anhydrous 100 mg
Ginger Root 50 mg

Potassium provides healthy benefits but does NOT contribute to weight loss.

There is no scientific evidence that dandelion contributes to weight loss.

Uva Ursi is used to treat various maladies including diarrhea, bladder infections, and headaches. There is evidence that a drug interaction is possible when Uva Ursi is combined with diuretics (like Buchu and Juniper).

Buchu and Juniper have been shown to be diuretics in mice, causing weight loss. However, there have been no human studies to substantiate these findings.

Caffeine anhydrous is nothing more than caffeine. Caffeine increases metabolic function, which causes weight loss. Studies have found that a dose of at least 300 mg per day is needed for caffeine to be effective in causing weight loss. Thus, this 72 Hour Diet Pill review finds the caffeine in the 72 Hour Diet Pill is NOT enough to be effective.

Ginger root is used in calming the stomach. It does not contribute to weight loss.

72 Hour Diet Pill Cost

72 Hour Diet Pills cost $9.99 for 36 capsules. According to the 72 Hour Diet Pill website, this is an “online exclusive” and you save $40 per bottle. This is a gimmick used by numerous diet pill companies to make you think you are getting a great deal. Each bottle contains two 72 hour supplies. It is recommended you do not take more than two cycles of 72 Hour Diet Pills per month. Thus, one bottle of 72 Hour Diet Pills will last a month.

72 Hour Diet Pill Refund

72 Hour Diet Pill offers a full refund less shipping and handling with no time limit. They do request you follow the dosage directions and wait for results before requesting a refund.

72 Hour Diet Pill Results

72 Hour Diet Pill website contains typical testimonials of those who have supposedly had great success with the 72 Hour Diet Pill. The research on proven ingredients shows that these ingredients need to be taken in proven amounts over at least several days before you will see results. Thus, if you are seeing weight loss in 72 hours, it is probably because you are stuck on the toilet. Maybe you will lose weight with 72 Hour Diet Pill, but it will not be pleasant or long lasting.

72 Hour Diet Pill Conclusion

This 72 Hour Diet Pill review finds this product is not worth your money. You will not see real weight loss results in 72 hours. Do yourself a favor and find a diet pill with proven ingredients in proven amounts.

The Water Pill by Natrol “is an all–natural herbal nutrient blend to help promote a balanced level of fluids in the body, along with a healthy diet and exercise program. This can help you feel your best…naturally. High potency Vitamin B6 helps replenish the normal loss of this water–soluble vitamin when fluids are expelled from the body. It’s About Balance” (website). This Water Pill review will determine just how effective the Water Pill really is at causing weight loss.

Water Pill Ingredients

Vitamin B-6 150 mg
Potassium 100 mg
Calcium 260 mg
Buchu Extract 100 mg
Juniper Extract 100 mg
Parsley Extract 100 mg
Uva Ursi Extract 100 mg

Vitamin B-6, Potassium, and Calcium have all been proven to have healthy benefits. However, they have NOT been proven to contribute to weight loss.

Buchu extract and Juniper extract are proven diuretics in mice. However, no human studies have been done, so there is no way to predict human weight loss that might be caused by these ingredients.

Uva Ursi comes from Bearberry. It is used to treat arthritis, indigestion, and bladder infections, among other ailments. Research has shown drug interactions with diuretics (a possible problem with Buchu and Juniper). Uva Ursi has not been proven to contribute to weight loss.

None of the ingredients contained in the Water Pill have been proven to contribute to weight loss. Finding another diet pill would be your best bet if you really want to lose weight. Maybe the Water Pill can help you “balance your fluids”, but it will not help you lose weight.

Water Pill Cost

The Water Pill costs $9.49 for 60 capsules. If you take the recommended dosage of 2 capsules per day, one bottle will last about a month. This is very inexpensive for a diet pill. However, since the Water Pill contains NO clinically proven ingredients, any amount is too expensive for the Water Pill.

Water Pill Guarantee

The Natrol website says nothing about a guarantee for the Water Pill. They do offer a 30 day money back guarantee on some of their other products but not on the Water Pill. It is a little concerning that they offer a guarantee only on some products. Is that because they know you will want to return the Water Pill?

Water Pill Conclusion

This Water Pill review finds the Water Pill is just another typical diet pill–it contains ingredients which have no clinical backing. In fact, the Buchu and Juniper could cause a bad reaction with the Uva Ursi. Don’t bother with the Water Pill; you will only be disappointed. Instead, try one of our recommended products. They contain proven ingredients in clinically proven amounts.

ThermoLean Extreme is a diet pill which is supposed to provide “extreme fat loss” and “extreme energy”. This ThermoLean Extreme review will explore the ingredients contained in ThermoLean Extreme diet pills as well as what you might be able to expect from this product.

Ingredients in ThermoLean Extreme diet pills

Green Tea (98% Polyphenols & 45% EGCG) 500mg **
Caffeine Anhydrous 300mg **
Octopamine 250mg **
Juniper Berry Extract 4:1 250mg **
Dandelion 4:1 250mg **
Buchu Extract 4:1 250mg **
Guggul Lipid Extract (10% Extract Yieling 20mg Guggulsterones) 200mg **
7-OXO (3b-Acetoxyandrost-5-Ene-7, 17-Dione) 100mg **
Coleus Forskohlii (10% Extract Yielding 10mg Forskholin) 100mg **
Magnesium Gluconate 100mg 25%
Vitamin B6 50mg 2,500%
Synephrine (From 6% Citrus Aurantium) 30mg **

Green tea has been proven to contribute to weight loss when 300 mg are taken per day. The amount of green tea in ThermoLean Extreme diet pills is enough to be effective.

Caffeine has been shown to increase metabolic function and we support it as a diet pill ingredient. Don’t be impressed when they say caffeine anhydrous (here%u2019s why).

Octopamine is closely related to noradrenaline, with effects akin to dopamine. It has become very popular on the internet as a slimming aid because octopamine “may mobilize the release of fat from adipocytes (fat cells).” The catch though, is that the fat released is promptly absorbed by other cells. There is no research to suggest that Octopamine is an effective weight loss agent.

Gugglesterones are supposed to increase thyroid function to promote weight loss. However, studies have had varying results.

One study on coleus forshkohli found, “Oral ingestion of forskolin (250 mg of 10% forskolin extract twice a day) for a 12-week period was shown to favorably alter body composition while concurrently increasing bone mass and serum free testosterone levels in overweight and obese men. The results indicate that forskolin is a possible therapeutic agent for the management and treatment of obesity.” ((http://www.nature.com/oby/journal/v13/n8/abs/oby2005162a.html))

Is Synephrine effective? One study performed in December of 2007 looked at the lipolysis (fat loss) effects of Satsuma mandarin orange (Citrus unshu Mark) peel on the fat cells of rats (I know, it’s always rats). A high concentration of Synephrine was present in the peel and lipolysis effects were present.

The overall conclusion on Synephrine:

These results suggest that the segment wall, an edible fraction, from Satsuma mandarin orange might be useful as a functional food, especially as a fat-reducing material ((J Nutr Sci Vitaminol (Tokyo). 2008 Dec;53(6):547-51.)).

In a 2005 statement issued by Robert E. Brackett, a director at the Food and Drug Administration before the House of Representatives he mentioned that they had found a 4% concentration of Synephrine in citrus aurantium while other times finding a concentration of chemical Synephrine of up to 90%.

I suppose if you were just going for weight loss, you’d hope yours had the 90% concentration. ThermoLean Extreme lists 6% Citrus Aurantium. Given this low concentration, this ThermoLean Extreme review finds the Synephrine contained in this product will most likely not be effective in promoting weight loss.

Cost of ThermoLean Extreme

You can get 120 capsules of ThermoLean Extreme diet pills for $38.99. If you take the recommended 8 capsules per day, one bottle will last 15 days. In other words, you will be paying nearly $78 per month! This is extremely expensive, especially considering the only ingredients included in proven amounts are green tea and caffeine.

ThermoLean Extreme Conclusion

This ThermoLean Extreme review likes that ThermoLean Extreme diet pills include green tea and caffeine in proven amounts. However, the remaining ingredients are not impressive. We’re fairly certain you’ll lose some weight with ThermoLean, but the cost – coupled with some unproven ingredients – knocks ThermoLean down a few notches.
