According to their website, Myoffeine is “The World’s First and Only Fat Burner made Exclusively for MEN!” They also claim, “We want to make you RIPPED. Not skinny with flat muscles. I’m talking freaky lean with bulging muscles that feel like your constantly flexing them. We designed our Ultimate Mens Bodybuilding fat burner to PUMP UP Your muscles and Deflate Your FAT! FAST!!” This Myoffeine review will discover just how valid these bold claims are and how this product could affect you. CAUTION: Due to the high levels of testosterone in Myoffeine diet pills, women should not take this product.

What are the ingredients in Myoffeine diet pills?

The following are the ingredients contained in Myoffeine, according to their website. You will notice they do not include ANY specific ingredient amounts.

Caffeine Anhydrous USP
Citrus Aurantium 10% Extract
Cinnamon
Tribulus Terrestis
L-Glutamine
L-Arginine
Catauba

Caffeine has been shown to contribute to increased metabolic function and we readily support it as long as you pay attention to your own body’s reaction to it. There are a minority of people that react too much toward caffeine and are asking for sleepless nights if they ingest too much of it.

Citrus Aurantium contains synephrine. One study performed in December of 2007 looked at the lipolysis (fat loss) effects of Satsuma mandarin orange (Citrus unshu Mark) peel on the fat cells of rats (I know, it’s always rats). A high concentration of Synephrine was present in the peel and lipoloysis effects were present. The overall conclusion:

These results suggest that the segment wall, an edible fraction, from Satsuma mandarin orange might be useful as a functional food, especially as a fat-reducing material ((J Nutr Sci Vitaminol (Tokyo). 2008 Dec;53(6):547-51.)).

Cinnamon has been used for years to help regulate blood sugar. Does it directly help you lose weight? That question still remains. With little to no research supporting it, the jury is still out on cinnamon’s efficacy.

Tribulus Terrestris – the ability of tribulus terrestris to boost testosterone levels is questionable. One study was particularly interesting:

Fifteen subjects were randomly assigned to a placebo or tribulus (3.21 mg per kg body weight daily) group. Body weight, body composition, maximal strength, dietary intake, and mood states were determined before and after an 8-week exercise (periodized resistance training) and supplementation period. There were no changes in body weight, percentage fat, total body water, dietary intake, or mood states in either group. Muscle endurance (determined by the maximal number of repetitions at 100-200% of body weight) increased for the bench and leg press exercises in the placebo group (p <.05; bench press +/-28.4%, leg press +/-28.6%), while the tribulus group experienced an increase in leg press strength only (bench press +/-3.1%, not significant; leg press +/-28.6%, p <.05). Supplementation with tribulus does not enhance body composition or exercise performance in resistance-trained males.

Arginine is used in some dietary supplements as it allegedly increases the production of growth hormone. There’s a single study ((Alba-Roth J, Müller O, Schopohl J, von Werder K (1988). “Arginine stimulates growth hormone secretion by suppressing endogenous somatostatin secretion”. J Clin Endocrinol Metab 67 (6): 1186-9.)) out there supporting this. Obviously there needs to be more research done in the area before I can stand behind it as an effective ingredient.

This Myoffeine review finds that caffeine and Citrus Aurantium can be effective in promoting weight loss. However, Myoffeine fails to disclose how much of these ingredients are included in the formula. Therefore, it is impossible to determine how effective these diet pills are at causing weight loss.

What are the side effects associated with Myoffeine diet pills?

Side effects of Myoffeine include headaches, constipation, fatigue, dehydration, high blood pressure, and insomnia.

What guarantee is there on Myoffeine?

The Myoffeine says, “Due to the DEEP Discounts we cannot afford to offer a money back guarantee on Myoffeine. Afterall, We’re selling it for 77% OFF it’s $100.00 USD retail value!” We frown on no moneyback guarantee.

How much does Myoffeine cost?

One bottle of 60 capsules of Myoffeine costs around $20. However, the Myoffeine website does not say how many capsules you should take each day (it’s probably two), so you don’t know how much you are really paying per month. Our guess is that this comes to less than a dollar per day — very cheap for diet pills.

Myoffeine conclusion

Myoffeine has some stimulants that will certainly do their work. From our studies of tribulus, we’ll set that one aside as probably not having too much effect on things. We have other diet pills that are notches above Myoffeine, but that’s something that ultimately you should decide.

According to their official website, “TestoRIPPED’S Controversial formula is the world’s BEST and MOST POWERFUL natural Testosterone Booster, Muscle Defining, and FAT SCORCHING supplement EVER DEVELOPED!”

TestoRipped makes some of the boldest claims we have seen. TestoRipped boasts about being banned in Australia and New Zealand “because of strict laws against anabolic steroid like components and Yohimbine (a vasodilator which increases blood flow to the lower extremities like Viagra).”

They also say TestoRipped will only be available in the U.S. for a short time. This TestoRipped review will show you what this product is and whether claims made about TestoRipped are legitimate. CAUTION: Due to the high doses of testosterone in TestoRipped diet pills, women should not use this product.

What are the ingredients in TestoRipped diet pills?

The ingredients in TestoRipped are listed below (amount in one capsule)

Tribulus Terrestris (80 % Saponins) 200 mg

Caffeine Anhydrous 150 mg

Arginine AKG 100 mg

Creatine Ethyl Ester 100 mg

L-Glutamine 100 mg

Cinnamon 50 mg

Eurycoma Longifolia 100:1 50 mg

Synephrine 15 mg

Gugglesterones 2.5% 15 mg

Yohimbine 1.5 mg

The TestoRipped website claims, “Tribulus has long been used to treat a variety of conditions such as low energy, depression, impotence, infertility in men and women and to boost vigor and strength. Athletes have used Tribulus Terrestris to boost testosterone levels, to speed fat loss, to enhance strength and overall athletic performance.” Although Tribulus has been used widely for years, current studies have conflicting results regarding how effective it really is.

Caffeine has been shown to contribute to increased metabolic function and we readily support it as long as you pay attention to your own body’s reaction to it. There are a minority of people that react too much toward caffeine and are asking for sleepless nights if they ingest too much of it.

Cinnamon has been used for years to help regulate blood sugar. Does it directly help you lose weight? That question still remains. With little to no research supporting it, the jury is still out on cinnamon’s efficacy.

These results suggest that the segment wall, an edible fraction, from Satsuma mandarin orange might be useful as a functional food, especially as a fat-reducing material ((J Nutr Sci Vitaminol (Tokyo). 2008 Dec;53(6):547-51.)).

Yohimbine comes from the bark of an African evergreen tree. It has been shown to increase fatty acid mobilization. It is also used to treat erectile dysfunction.

While Creatine has shown significant muscle/strength-building promise, 100 mg is not enough (esp. delivered in capsule form) to really drive any results.

Gugglesterones are supposed to increase thyroid function to promote weight loss. However, studies have had varying results.

How much does TestoRipped cost?

One bottle of 75 capsules of TestoRipped costs $49.99; this is a one month supply. This is on the lower end of diet pill pricing, at $1.67 per day.

TestoRipped marketing strategies

TestoRipped uses a teenage-driven marketing strategy. They want you to believe TestoRipped is going to give you bulging muscles and very low body fat. The website is filled with pictures of amazing abs supposedly from using TestoRipped.

They also say you better buy TestoRipped fast because it won’t be available in the U.S. for much longer. In our research for this TestoRipped review, we found no indication of this other than what was on the TestoRipped website. It makes us wonder if this is just another shady marketing strategy to boost sales.

TestoRipped Review Conclusion

This TestoRipped review has found that TestoRipped is an average product at best. We recommend finding a product that will be available in the U.S. for a long time…

Leptitrex is a weight loss supplement that claims by taking it you will “Lose 7 Pounds Every 7 Days Effortlessly”. The first thing you will notice about Leptitrex is lengthy list of ingredients; there are about 50 ingredients in this supplement. Leptitrex claims it will not only help you lose weight but it will also detox your body, eliminate acne, feel euphoric, suppress appetite, and build muscle. That is great if you are looking for all of those things, but what if you just want to lose weight?

Just what is in Leptitrex?

The list is long and we could probably write a book with information on each ingredient. Leptitrex contains 6 “Keys” which, according to their website, are:

1. Vitamins & Mineral blend – Vitamin C, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, Chromium Polynicontinate, Selenium

2. Motivation & Hunger – Chocamine, Di-Caffeine Malate, Rhodiola Rosea, St. John’s Wort, L-Tyrosine, Picamilon, Phenylalanine, hops, Phenylethylamine (PEA), Synephrine, Ginkgo, Siberian Ginseng, Ginger, 5-HTP, and Vinpocetine

3. Superfoods – Barley, Garlic, Cayenne, Buckwheat, Soybeans, Flaxseed, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Wheatgrass, Acai, and alfalfa. These ingredients supposedly help in eliminating acne.

4. Lean Muscle Matrix – Forslean, L-Glutamine, Creatine Monohydrate, L-Arginine, Avena Sativa, Mucuna Pruniens, Ipriflavone, Ecdysterone

5. Body & liver detox – dandelion root, milk thistle, licorice, cranberry, uva ursi, and sage

6. Anti Aging matrix – green tea, DMAE, acetyl-L-Carnitine, and alpha lipoic acid

While the ingredients are all listed, there are no specific amounts listed for any of the ingredients. This is your standard “proprietary blend” that we see a lot in the diet pill industry. It’s completely out of the ordinary for companies not to use a proprietary blend these days, so we have a hard time making it count against anyone. (That being said, there are a few companies that disclose everything, so we do give special consideration to those).

Because Leptitrex contains a whole slew of ingredients, you’re going to be dealing with multiple pills. Don’t let this be a huge deterrent to you unless you have a hard time swallowing pills. What would worry me more is if Leptitrex were to list all of these ingredients and then only require one or two pills as the dosage…that would smell like a scam.

What does the Research say about Leptitrex?

Well, there has been no research done on Leptitrex itself, only on some of the individual ingredients. Several of the ingredients have been proven effective in weight loss, specifically Forslean and green tea. However, many of the ingredients are a bit disputed in their effectiveness, including 5-HTP and DMAE. Many of the other ingredients have not been researched enough to determine their effectiveness. Although some ingredients do have clinical backing, it is impossible to say whether or not these ingredients are effective in Leptitrex because the amounts of the ingredients are not disclosed.

Several ingredients are included as mood enhancers (including PEA and DMAE). PEA has been clinically proven to promote energy and elevate mood. ((http://neuro.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/abstract/7/1/6))

The Leptitrex Website Claims:

“Recent Clinical studies prove the Effectiveness of 2 ingredients in the Leptitrex Lean Muscle Matrix:

1) Seventy-eight highly trained athletes were given either placebo, protein, or a key ingredient in Leptitrex + protein. The combination of Leptitrex’s ingredient and protein resulted in up to a 13% reduction in body fat and a 6% to 7% increase in muscle tissue. This was within a period of only 10 days.

2) University study on another PATENTED ingredient in Leptitrex shows test subjects lost 9.9 lbs of body FAT on average in the course of 12 weeks. They were also able to GAIN Lean Muscle Tissue thus greatly increasing their metabolic rate and likelihood of long term success.”

It is interesting that not only does Leptitrex fail to say which ingredients were tested, but they also fail to give any concrete evidence on when the studies were done or who conducted the studies.

Leptitrex Marketing

Leptitrex does most of the marketing by word of mouth. This is actually a very positive sign, since you can be assured that consumers won’t refer their friends to an ineffective product. They do not have a customer service phone number, only an email address. On the up side, they do have a “Lifetime Money Back Guarantee”. All you have to do is return your empty bottle (because they want you to try an entire bottle before returning it) and any unopened bottles for a “quick refund” minus shipping and handling.

How Much Does Leptitrex Cost?

Leptitrex normally costs $99.95 per bottle (a one month supply), but if you “BUY NOW before it’s Too Late!” you can get a discount.

Leptitrex Review Conclusion

Leptitrex is trying too hard to cover all the bases. By focusing on fewer ingredients they could do more research and be sure to include proper amounts of effective ingredients. They may have spread themselves a bit thin. With a lifetime moneyback guarantee, it may be worth a shot but, of course, that’s ultimately up for you to decide.

Noxycut is a diet pill targeted toward men, making the claim that it, “makes your body burn ONLY body fat and [it] will increase your muscle mass!” It’s tough not to question this claim right from the get-go. To lose weight (burn fat), you need to be eating fewer calories than you burn. To gain weight, you must be eating more calories than you burn. It’s just the physiological hard truth. You can’t have your protein shake, and drink it too.

Noxycut’s Ingredient Profile

First off, my hat goes off to Noxycut for including the entire ingredient profile directly on their website. Most diet pill companies (including some that I do actually like) mask the exact ingredient profile with a proprietary blend. Noxycut puts all of their ingredients out there to be scrutinized.

Noxycut breaks down its ingredients as follows:

Noxycut’s Fat Burners

Caffeine Anhydrous – caffeine is an effective metabolism booster and I discuss it at length in my review of caffeine.

Synephrine – Noxycut’s inclusion of Synephrine is also positive. Synephrine has been shown to be an effective stimulant. I reviewed Synephrine in depth as well.

Guggulsterones – the amount of Guggulsterones present in Noxycut is too low for it to have any type of effect on cholesterol levels (which is its intention). Also, in the past few years there have been a few studies calling into question the efficacy of guggulsterones as it relates to lowering levels of bad cholesterol ((Guggulipid Ineffective for Lowering Cholesterol. JAMA.2003;290:765-772)) ((Guggulipid Use in Hyperlipidemia. Am J Health-Syst Pharm. 2005;62(16):1690-1692)).

Cinnamon bark extract – Cinnamon has been used for years to help regulate blood sugar. Does it directly help you lose weight? That question still remains. With little to no research supporting it, the jury is still out on cinnamon’s efficacy.

Yohimbe – has been used to treat some sexual side effects caused by the use of some antidepressants, which is probably where Noxycut derives its text that there are positive sexual side effects to using Noxycut. There is no evidence to suggest that Yohimbe is an effective fat burner or that it somehow targets fat tissue.

Noxycut’s Testosterone Boosters

Eurycoma Longifolia – this is a plant native to Indonesia and Malaysia. There’s been some research (want to read about rats’ sex drive?) done by a group of people supporting Eurycoma Longifolia as a testosterone booster. One study involving humans (and those are the kind we’d like to see more of) in the British Journal of Sports Medicine showed that the plant increased the muscle strength and size of participants when compared to a placebo group. ((Hamzah S, Yusof A (Oct 2003). “The Ergogenic Effects of Eurycoma Longifolia Jack: A Pilot Study.”. Br. J. Sports Med. 37: 464-70. – Abstract of study listed as item 007))

L-Glutamine is an amino acid used to aid muscle recovery during workouts. The optimal dosage is usually one to two grams per day. Noxycut boasts a very weak offering of 100 mg, hardly enough to have an impact on muscle recovery.

Muscle Cell Builders

Creatine has been proven over and over again that is an effective supplement for intense muscle building. It works by increasing the amount of short-term “burst” energy available to your muscles. It can also cause cells to retain a bit more water, adding a bit of size, but the noticeable muscular increases will come from your muscles’ ability to lift more weights and subsequent growth. Noxycut’s dosage of creatine is much smaller than the recommended dosage. Also, the absorption of creatine from a capsule vs. effervescently is not nearly as high.

Noxycut’s Moneback Guarantee

Unfortunately, Noxycut does not allow a moneyback guarantee. Why? Their claim is that they offer the lowest prices and, as such, do not need a guarantee. That hardly passes the “muster” test. If the product is truly as effective as Noxycut’s website claims, then they wouldn’t hesitate to offer a moneyback guarantee. Only very rarely would a customer actually want their moneyback if the product really worked. I see this as big confidence-killer with Noxycut and hope they change their policy.

Noxycut Review Conclusion

Noxycut’s ingredient profile contains caffeine at a modest dosage. That will be what burns fat. The creatine, glutamine, and guggulsterones are all at a dosage that is far too low to expect any modest results. The other ingredients lack the clinical research necessary to confidently recommend any inclusion in a diet pill. Noxycut needs to go back to the drawing board and try and not be all things to all people.
