I have carefully read kfmej20’s comments above. Let me first say that Lexi (my good friend at BODA) absolutely made a mistake and did not successfully cancel kfmej20’s autoship. I and everyone at BODA am sorry for this mistake!

I would like to, however, address the other points made by kfmej20 (I’ll try to not to get too emotional!):

1. kfmej20 says that she was charged a fee to cancel her autoship. BODA absolutely does not charge fees to cancel autoship, so it it difficult for me to read this! kfmej20 — you are welcome to call me at 303-928-7171. You might get my voicemail, but I will call you back.

2. kfmej20 also refers to “taxes and fees”. There are no fees other than the cost of BODA Extract 3 and shipping. Taxes are only charged if you live in Colorado. So there are no other “taxes or fees”.

3. kfmej20 says regarding BODA’s free trial, and returning the unused portion to cancel impending charges, that “this requirement was not mentioned anywhere when I first ordered the Free Trial”. This is not true. Here’s what we say in BIG LETTERS at the top of the page:

“Start your RISK FREE Trial now and receive a full two-month supply of BODA Extract 3. You’ll have until Friday November 20, 2009 to see if BODA Extract 3 is right for you. If you like BODA Extract 3, simply do nothing. You will be billed the low price of $69.95 on November 20, 2009. If, for ANY reason, you decide that BODA is not right for you, simply go to http://www.bodaweightloss.com/cancel by November 20, 2009 and return the unused portion within 30 days.”

We also require that you check a box, stating that you have read the “paragraph” above. You can’t move forward with the free trial unless you check this box.

4. Regarding BODA’s email working: To my knowledge our email has been functioning continuously since BODA’s inception. You can test it now: info@bodabotanicals.com. Say hi to us!

5. Regarding BODA’s cancellation form, not working: Again, to my knowledge this always worked. You can see it at http://www.bodaweightloss.com/cancel.

This isn’t to say that I don’t believe kfmej20 when she says it didn’t work. Weird things happen sometimes with technology, but to my knowledge the email and cancellation form has always worked.

I want to say this as strongly as I can: At BODA, we operate with integrity. This starts with the quality of BODA Extract No. 3, and permeates to all aspects of our company. We do NOT have hidden fees, and DO NOT charge people for canceling our autship programs. That would be a terrible thing to do, and we don’t do it. Regarding our integrity: BODA has a A- rating at the Better Business Bureau. (http://www.bbb.org/denver/business-reviews/vitamins-and-food-supplements/boda-botanicals-in-boulder-co-90097545) . This is very rare in the “weight loss industry”. Before you work with any company, I would check their BBB ranking.

BODA offers autoship programs for good reason: losing weight is difficult. BODA really can help you lose weight, but only if you stick with it. We support this need to stay with BODA for a period of time through autoship programs. Autoship programs truly help people to stick with BODA long enough to see good results.

I hope that my comments make sense, and I hope I didn’t get too “worked up”.

kfmej20, if Boda did, in fact, charge you a fee to cancel the autoship program, I’d like to highlight this. In an anonymous setting such as this, it becomes difficult to get to the bottom of the truth. As it stands, if you can provide proof that you were charged a fee or taxes, please do so. Otherwise, everything on their website, in their communications, and with the Better Business Bureau (they have zero complaints with the BBB) indicates that Boda is a reputable company that customers can feel comfortable purchasing from. Yes, it’s apparent that some clerical mistakes were made, which they’ve promptly fixed and apologized for.

I think it’s fair to say that Boda has the best customer service of any diet pill company that I’ve reviewed. With the science that backs up the ingredients in Boda coupled with it being a reputable company, Criticalorie’s recommendation of Boda Extract 3 still stands strong.

First let me say that BODA Extract 3 is a truly fine product that will truly help you lose weight and improve your body composition. The conjugated linoleic acid found in BODA Extract 3 is produced by our partner factory in the Netherlands (a factory with over 110 year of experience). We, at BODA, are committed to the highest levels of integrity in sourcing our ingredients. We want this level of integrity to extend to everything we do, including our customer service.

I have read a few posts on this website from people unhappy with our customer service. As you might imagine, we get a lot of phone calls and emails, and my goal is to keep everyone happy! But it’s not always as easy as you might think. I’ll do my best to respond to what I’ve read:

1. I respond to all email and phone calls I receive. Sometimes I return calls the next day, especially if lots of calls come in during the afternoon. Of course, I try to respond the same day. Someone above was unhappy that I was not able to return their call the same day. I do apologize, and I understand what it feels like to not be responded to immediately. Please note that I did respond at 8:30 am the next morning. I am always available for you… feel free to contact me now with any questions!

2. It was said that BODA charges a fee to cancel our autoship program. I want to promise all of you that BODA absolutely, positively does NOT charge a fee to cancel our autoship program. That would be a terrible thing to do, and we certainly do not do it! If the person who says they were charged a fee could please contact me, I would like to investigate this to see what they are referring to.

3. It was said that BODA requires a tracking number to return product to us. We do not require a tracking number for returns. If we receive your return, no matter how you send it, and we know it’s from you, we’re good. No need for a tracking number. Of course if you choose to use a tracking number on returns, that’s ok too.

4. kfmej20 above said that although she canceled her autoship program, and we still charged her. This is correct! I made a mistake and immediately refunded her payment. I do most of the cancellations myself, by hand and sometimes I move too fast and make mistakes. I want to repeat again that there are absolutely no charges to cancel. Nor are there “taxes and fees” (taxes would only apply to if you live in Colorado). Sorry about my error kfmej20!

5. The description of BODA’s “sale offers” are written in what I consider to be very clear and plain English. We always use BIG letters at the TOP of the page. Many companies, even good companies like American Express, use unclear English, and put their terms in small print, and at the bottom of the page. On the BODA free trial, we will not let you complete the purchase unless you check a box saying that you have “read the paragraph above”. I hope that you will agree the we have made great efforts to make everything exceptionally clear on the BODA site.
