AcaiBurn Review
AcaiBurn is a diet pill that “was created to help you achieve the incredible body you have always wanted… USE WITH CAUTION!” (website) The truth is AcaiBurn is another diet pill that makes big claims and fails to back them up. In fact, it is one of the worst diet pills we have seen.
Hydroxycitric Acid Update
On May 1, 2009 the FDA issued a warning to consumers to stop taking Hydroxycut-branded products. Over more than 7 years they have received 23 reports of health related issues with those taking Hydroxycut-branded products. The main health concern appears to be serious liver-related problems. Iovate Health Sciences Inc., the makers of Hydroxcut, have voluntarily recalled all of the products under question in the FDA’s report
Common symptoms of liver complications include:
- jaundice (yellowing of the skin)
- brown urine
- light colored stools
- unusual tiredness
- stomach pain
- itching
- loss of appetite
- weakness
- vomiting
In light of the recent FDA warning concerning the possible dangers of Hydroxycut-branded diet pills, many believe that the associated health risks are likely due to the inclusion of the commonly used ingredient Hydroxycitric Acid, or HCA. And while according to the FDA, “The agency has not yet determined which ingredients, dosages, or other health-related factors may be associated with risks related to these Hydroxycut products. The products contain a variety of ingredients and herbal extracts.” you can never be too cautious.
So, while further study and research is needed to confirm the link between HCA and the liver problems, until proven otherwise any products that contain HCA are no longer recommended on this website.
AcaiBurn Ingredients
The AcaiBurn website is very vague about the ingredients included. They disclose that AcaiBurn diet pills contain acai extract, garcinia cambogia, gymnema sylvestre, chromium polynicotinate, and green tea. However, they fail to mention if there are other ingredients included or how much of each ingredient is included. While several of the included ingredients have been clinically proven to cause weight loss, since AcaiBurn hides how much of each ingredient is included, there is no way of knowing if there is enough of each ingredient to actually cause weight loss. Usually when companies include ingredients in proprietary amounts it is because there are only trace amounts of the proven ingredients included.
Despite what many diet pill companies claim, acai has NOT been proven to cause weight loss. It does have some healthy benefits, but like hoodia, acai in diet pills is all hype.
AcaiBurn claims the acai berries contained are “certified” (website). Don’t be impressed; who knows what “certified” really means.
AcaiBurn Research
The AcaiBurn website claims several research studies have been done showing AcaiBurn’s success at causing weight loss. However, they fail to mention when, where, or by whom these studies were conducted. This usually means that the studies were done in-house (if they were really done at all) so results could be tailored to make the product look better than it really is.
AcaiBurn Website
The AcaiBurn website is pathetic. It is packed with pictures of celebrities, making you assume these celebrities use and endorse AcaiBurn, although they do not actually say it outright.
The website has a lot of information on diets, but hardly any information about AcaiBurn itself. In order to get more information about AcaiBurn you have to put in your name, email, and phone number.
AcaiBurn Trial
AcaiBurn offers a free 14-day trial with a one month’s supply of AcaiBurn diet pills; all you have to pay is the shipping fee of $4.95. You put in your current weight, your goal weight, your height and age, and then they offer you the trial, which is supposedly only offered to certain “preferred” customers. They say you only have 4 minutes to complete the information before the offer expires. Well, the truth is the offer is for everyone and even if you leave the page open for half an hour you can still get the offer. In fact, I tried to navigate from the page after half an hour and was offered an extra $3 off the trial offer.
The details of the trial offer are contained in the fine print. When you sign up for the trial, you also sign up for autoship. In other words, you sign up for AcaiBurn to be delivered to you every month, with your credit card automatically being charged $59.95 per month. Not only that, you also unknowingly sign up to pay $15 per month for the books they send you. This is disgraceful. They con you into thinking you are getting a great deal; they are banking on the fact that most people don’t read the fine print.
AcaiBurn Conclusion
As you can clearly see, AcaiBurn is a waste of your time and money. It is a deceptive product concerned only with making the most money they can; they don’t care about you losing weight. Don’t buy into all the hype over AcaiBurn; it will only leave you disappointed.
