enough to contribute to weight loss.

The main ingredient of Guarana is caffeine, which has been proven to increase endurance if taken before exercise. The amount of caffeine found in Xenadrine RFA-1 is enough to produce these same effects.

Who is behind the product Xenadrine RFA-1

Cytodyne Technologies is the manufacturer of Xenadrine RFA-1. They have a tainted history with the FTC.

In August of 2005, the FTC found that Cytodyne was making false claims about a similar product, Xenadrine EFX. Cytodyne claimed Xenadrine EFX caused rapid and substantial weight loss and fat loss without the need to reduce calories or increase exercise. They also claimed Xenadrine EFX caused permanent weight loss. However, the FTC found every one of these claims to be false. In addition, Cytodyne Technologies was ordered to pay the FTC $100,000. Research About Xenadrine RFA-1

Cytodyne Industries claims, “Xenadrine RFA-1 is an advanced thermogenic formula based on an extensively studied herbal thermogenic formula. Xenadrine is an ECA stack which means it contains ephedrine, caffeine, and aspirin. This combination of herbal derivatives has been investigated in many independent studies and has been found to increase the rate of weight loss in subjects who have been administered the combination.” What Cytodyne fails to mention is that while individual ingredients and even the combination of ephedra, caffeine, and asprin have been researched, there has not been research done on Xenadrine RFA-1 itself.

Xenadrine Supplementation Side effects

The list of side effects from Xenadrine RFA-1 use is long. Side effects include sweating, elevated heart rate, anxiety, headache, thirst, and even stroke, seizures, psychosis, and death. Most of these side effects are due to the ingredient Ma Huang (ephedra).

While research of the individual ingredients of Xenadrine RFA-1 shows the ingredients do in fact contribute to weight loss, there has been no research done on the specific supplement itself.
