Ultra 90 Review

Ultra 90 Bottle - Review of Ultra90The marketing strategy of Ultra 90 is to convince potential customers that the product does not trick the body into weight loss. However, their product itself tricks people into believing they will experience significant weight loss by using Ultra 90.

Ultra 90’s Ingredients

Marine Collagen Protein & Gelatin—Many diet pill companies claim collagen gelatin helps reduce body fat and erases fine lines and wrinkles. However, research has not shown any significant weight loss due to this ingredient.

Aloe Vera’s health benefits are uncontested and it’s used as a mild laxative with moderate success. The use of Aloe Vera for weight loss is mainly for colon cleansing.

Vitamin C has healthy benefits but does not contribute to weight loss

Safflower Oil provides the material to build prostaglandins, which help to regulate body functions

Glycerin is added to Ultra 90 for flavor; it does not contribute to weight loss

Bees Wax is used as the casing for the Ultra 90 capsules; it does not aid in weight loss

Lecithin, according to Ultra 90, helps to break down fat and flush it out of the body. Research does not support this claim. Lecithin has not been proven to contribute to weight loss.

Ultra 90 does not disclose how much of each ingredient is contained in each capsule.

On a positive note, Ultra 90 does not contain any stimulants such as caffeine (see our review of caffeine here, it’s actually quite effective for weight loss), ephedrine, or amphetamines, which may be important if your body is sensitive to these types of ingredients. The ingredients are all natural and there are no known side effects.

Ultra 90’s Claims are Unfounded

Ultra 90 claims that the combination of these ingredients will bring weight loss, increased muscle, and decreased fine lines and wrinkles. Research does not support any of these claims. In fact, collagen protein is one of the main ingredients in Jell-O. Maybe you should save yourself some money and eat Jell-O instead; it would have the same effect.

Ultra 90’s Gimmicky AM/PM Formulations

Unlike some other diet pills, Ultra 90 gives you the option of an AM and a PM formula. They contain the same ingredients. For the AM formula, take three capsules first thing in the morning and don’t eat for at least an hour. For the PM formula, stop eating and drinking three hours before bed, then take three capsules with water and go to bed. Well, the those three hours before bed are considered to be the most likely snack time of the day.

In reality, Ultra 90 is just reducing your calories by keeping you from eating during the evening hours. In order to trick customers out of even more money, the Ultra 90 website recommends taking both the AM and PM formulas to expedite and increase weight loss. To reiterate — the AM and PM formulations are the exact same. This is just a marketing trick akin to Leoptoprin and Leptopril (whose maker/marketer we openly despise).

Ultra 90 Does Not Offer a Moneyback Guarantee

And for good reason. If they did, they’d have a lot of people taking them up on it. They claim that they don’t accept returns because their product is perishable. That’s funny (in a sarcastic, amused sort of way), because there are plenty of upstanding companies that will accept returns on perishable goods. We find the fact that there is no guarantee to be very disturbing — especially when combined with the fact that not one of their ingredients has been proven to aid in weight loss to any significant degree.

Ultra 90 Review in Conclusion

This product is misleading to consumers. Ultra 90 claims the product does not trick the body into weight loss, but in fact, the product does not yield significant weight loss in itself. If Ultra 90 users are seeing weight loss it is likely due to the decrease in calories because they are not eating during the hours of taking the supplement. Few, if any, of the claims made by Ultra 90 have been proven. The product is expensive, especially considering taking both the AM and PM formulas together is recommended, making the supplements twice as expensive to take. This product is like any other collagen protein product–spend your money somewhere else.

Are there any known side effects of this product or any of its ingredients? About a month into taking this product (stupid me) I developed large patches of darkened skin on my thighs, elbow, and wrist. Could this be a side effect? Both my primary care and derm are unsure as to what it could be and it keeps spreading!

A friend of mine got started on Ultra 90 the end of last year and by spring she had lost 40 lbs… Literally not doing anything but following the instructions.
After watching that, I decided to try it. I got started little more than a week ago and i’ve dropped 2.2 lbs thus far, not doing anything different but following directions. I can’t speak for everyone but for myself, so far so good. I’ll comment again in a month or so….

The AM and PM formulas are not quite the same. If you check the ingredient lists, the AM formula has less safflower oil. Also, gelatin is closer to the bottom of the list, meaning there isn’t a lot of it, and the rest of the list is healthy ingredients. Jell-o, by contrast, also contain added sugar or artificial sweeteners, food coloring, and artificial flavors, which aren’t healthy.

I have tried Ultra 90’s 90 day regimen twice now (2 different years) and each time I was thoroughly disappointed. They claim you will lose 2 to 3 pant sizes. First off, let me tell you I am in my early 50’s, in good health, exercise regularly (power walking and weight training), eat healthy, don’t smoke, not a coffee or tea drinker, don’t eat at fast food restaurants, don’t eat “snack” foods and sleep about 5 hours a night. However, I own my own business and stress does come with it. I have been frustrated that I can’t lose about 30 pounds no matter how diligent I am at eating and exercise. So I succumbed to the radio ad for Ultra 90 and purchased the evening protocol. I am here to tell you not only did I not lose ONE POUND, but the other benefits they claim for collagen didn’t materialize either. Now it really irks me when I hear the continued ads on the radio because they claim you don’t have to do anything more than take their pills with a full glass of water, without exercise and no change in your diet. I couldn’t be more perfect for losing pounds if that was all there was to it! I don’t know how they continue to sell this stuff, but they always have AMAZING testimonials to go along with the ads. Save your money; this product is a hoax.

I didn’t lose a single pound either. I”m very dissappointed. My hope was to lose maybe 10-20 lbs. My husband did however lose weight but now he is becoming very violent. His modes are very changed, he has problems with sex. I don’t like what it is doing to his personality.

This Ultra 90 ia a serious hoax. I am really watching what I eat and drink alot of water. I have been dieting a large percent of my life. I was going to a local physician and doing a diet program he supports. But then like everything else Money became an issue so after a 56 pound weightloss I couldn’t afford to go to him anymore. So I decided to go with the ULTRA 90 PLAN!! WHAT A MISTAKE THIS WAS!!!! I have been on it for a month and a half and have GAINED 18 pounds!!!! Tlak about sick, I am so irritated and feel aweful. I regret spending money on this product. I highly DO NOT recommend this to anyone. WHERE DO THEY GET THEIR POSITIVE TESTIMONIALS???????

  7. Elissa Says:

I tried ULTRA90 as well and was thoroughly disappointed. I want to lose quite a bit of weight that I gained during pregnancy and I thought that I would give this a try. Caffeine is known to give me migraines so the no caffeine was the selling point for me but it was a flop.
