They also claim, “PatentLEAN® is an ephedra-free and caffeine-free weight loss supplement that has been proven in clinical trials to be:

  • More effective than diet and exercise alone
  • Derived from natural sources
  • No Fen-Phen
  • Not a stimulant
  • No PPA (phenylpropanolamine)” (website)

This PatentLEAN review will explore the ingredients in PatentLEAN diet pills and will reveal how effective this product really is.

PatentLEAN Ingredients

3-Acetyl-7-Oxo-Dehydroepiandrosterone (7-Keto) 100 mg

7-KETO is a naturally occurring metabolite (metabolites break things down for use in the body) of the hormone dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA). DHEA serves as a precursor for the sex hormones, such as estrogen and testosterone.

So how does 7-KETO help in weight loss?

In one study, participants exercised thee times per week for 45 minutes each time, ate an 1,800 calorie per day diet and was given either a placebo or 100mg of 7-KETO twice daily. After eight weeks, the KETO group lost an average of 6.34 pounds compared to the placebo group’s loss of 2.13 pounds.

There are no long-term studies available to show 7-KETO’s affect on humans. Some have concerns that it may cause heart palpitations. Others have even suggested maximum dosages of 5mg. As always, it is up for you to decide if you are comfortable supplementing with 7-KETO.

This PatentLEAN review finds that with 2 doses of PatentLEAN diet pills each day, there is enough 7-Keto to be effective in promoting weight loss (remember, we’re talking about a difference of 4 pounds over eight weeks — nothing jaw-dropping).

Cost of PatentLEAN

One bottle of 30 capsules of PatentLEAN diet pills will cost you $19.49. If you take the recommended dosage of 2 capsules per day,one bottle will last you 15 days.  This isn’t too terribly expensive.

A patent for PatentLEAN?

The PatentLEAN website states the following: “PatentLEAN® has been awarded a United States Patent for use in weight loss and weight management.”

However, in researching for this PatentLEAN review, we found there are no patents registered with the U.S. Patent office website under the name PatentLEAN. This makes us wonder if PatentLEAN is able to substantiate any of their other claims or if they are misleading customers about other aspects of their product as well.

PatentLEAN Conclusion

This PatentLEAN review finds that PatentLEAN does contain an effective amount of 7-Keto. 7-Keto has been shown to contribute to weight loss.  We do not like that PatentLEAN’s “United States Patent” (if there really is one) is impossible to find. It makes us question the honesty of PatentLEAN as a company overall.
