Well I quickly skimmed through this article. I have heard many success stories from people that used Hydroxycut, but upon trying it myself I found that it did absolutely nothing for me. I am a weight lifter/body builder so I do try various supplements to give me that little bit of an edge (minus steroids that is). I work out regularly and I eat fairly clean. I tried Hydroxycut in hopes that I would help me lose some more body fat that I had. I found the first day on it was great. I was wired for the majority of the day and I was extremely energetic during my workout. After that however, I did not see any effects from it. I know that you are not supposed to drink coffee but I continued to anyhow and still saw no unwanted or even wanted effects from it. After I finished the bottle I noticed nothing different in the mirror or even on the scale. I have tried numerous diet pills with essentially similar results. I did try VPX Meltdown and found that by taking the maximum dosage right before I worked out that it helped but even that did not work as well as I had hoped. I am now trying an AM/PM stack from Black China Labs and it seems to be helping cut down my body fat, but that might be just an effect created by my mind. However, I found that at least for me, Hydroxycut did not work. Others have told me different, and some have told me that it worked but after they stopped they supposedly gained a bunch of cellulite, but I can't be sure how true that is. Thanks for the reviews though, I like this site!

I have been taking Hydroxycut for about a week now, and it's giving me heartburn. This seems to be the only major symptom I'm having, besides mild headaches (probably from all the caffeine), trouble getting to sleep at night and occasional "belly issues". Would drinking more water help with the heartburn? I don't know if I can continue to deal with the heartburn, especially at night. It's very uncomfortable.

Hi Timothy,
The Hardcore formulation doesn't justify its extra cost compared to the traditional Hydroxycut. Also, I don't like how they imply that research has been done on the product itself -- when it's the ingredients (a few of them) that have the research. That's good, but to imply differently is bad.

Hey Cal,

Love this site you have and thank you for all of your hard work. I just had a question regarding Hydroxycut that has me curious. How is it that this brand of it is said to work well while Hydroxycut Hardcore is trash? I used Hardcore last year for a few months and did lose a bit of fat, but stopped taking it when I started getting some nasty chest pains.

I'm trying to avoid giving my life story... to cut it short, I run 3 miles almost every day and have lost a good chunk of fat over the past year, but I've plateaued recently and my body just won't budge. Would it be wise to give the regular Hydroxycut a shot even though the Hardcore version isn't too good?

Hi Susie,
I'm sorry, but I'm definitely not qualified to answer that question. It would be something you would need to speak with your physician about!

Will the Hydroxycut ingredients counter the type of drugs that an organ (heart) transplant patient has to take? I asked the pharmacist, but all they said was to ask the doctor-and we already know that most USA M.D.s are not learned in the herbal side of healing and well being. I am not sure how to research this on my own. Thanks for any light you can shed on this predicament!

Hi there,

A lot of great info and hard work done here. One of the products I have heard works well is not listed in your products having been reviewed. Sibutramine? Do you know anything about this one? I would appreciate any info you have on it.

thanks,

Dave,
