Akavar is marketed and distributed by Dynakor Pharmacal, claiming to be a “European Weight-Loss Breakthrough”. The site, www.dynakorpharmacal.com contains several typos, where strange characters are present in the text. This isn’t a sign of anything except laziness. Not a good starting sign, but not enough to have me stop this review in its tracks. We’ll want to dig a bit further for sure.

Who is Akavar’s Dynakor Pharmacal?

Well, the story gets pretty interesting pretty quickly. A quick whois search revelas that dynakorpharmacal.com is registered to Western Holdings LLC out of Cheyenne Wyoming. Western Holdings LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Basic Research out of Salt Lake City, one of the slimiest diet pill companies out there. In my other reviews of some of Basic Research’s products (Leptoprin, Leptopril, and Zantrex-3) we find that Basic Research paid a fine to the FTC for claiming that a doctor that provided research supporting their products’ efficacy wasn’t a medical doctor at all — more of an herb type of PhD guy.

They also are known for their ridiculously high margins where a product costs a few dollars to make and is sold for $150/bottle for “serious dieters.” They then sell the exact same formula in another bottle for $80 — saying that this other company has a “special deal” with the original expensive product’s distributor. They’re all pushed by the same company.

Dynakor Pharmacal pushes Akavar and Dynakor Pharmacal is owned by Basic Research. At this point, I’m completely comfortable in telling any reader to stay far away from Akavar and anything else Basic Research pushes.

Oh, and if Dynakor Pharmacal’s domain is registered to a holding company in Wyoming…exactly what part of this weight loss breakthrough is European? It’s just a pure marketing lie. Hype is one thing. Lying is something entirely different.

A Look at Akavar (if it’s even worth taking a look)

“And we couldn’t say it in print if it wasn’t true!”

If you see the TV ad they say:

“And we couldn’t say it on TV if it wasn’t true!”

Yeah…Right.

In a well-controlled, double-blind, peer-reviewed clinical trial (the type of evidence accepted by both scientific and medical communities), doctors divided 46 overweight patients into two groups (a placebo [sugar pill] group, and an active [Akävar] group). Both groups were specifically told not – that’s right, not-to change their normal eating habits or exercise routine. At the conclusion of the study the data was independently reviewed and verified. The results: In the group that took the active Akävar compound, 23 out of 24 people lost a substantial amount of weight.

This is from the “How It Works” section of the Akavar website. Please notice with the highest amount of scrutiny the fact that they never cite this study in any way at all.

Oh please. That is so unfounded I can’t even think of a response.

Akavar’s Moneyback Guarantee

They may say on their site that they offer a moneyback guarantee, but their site offers only one Contact Us link to an email address (customerservice@akavar2050.com). I emailed requesting a refund and didn’t receive a response. I emailed again three days later and am yet to receive a response. I’ll update if/when I do.

What are Akavar’s Ingredients?

Nobody knows. They say that “the secret is the formula” for Akavar’s success. Well, actually they should reverse that a little bit and say that the formula is secret. It isn’t given online anywhere at all so you’ll have to buy it before you actually know what’s in it. Then in case Akavar doesn’t work (at all fingers point that direction) you’ll have to somehow try and get your moneyback guarantee. Good luck on that.

Akavar is pushed by Basic Research. That means you should stay away at all costs.
