I have been taking adipex for only a short time. Being that is a controlled substance, your doctor is only sappose to let you take it for 3 months and then is sappose to take you off of it for a full month. After the full month, if you chose, you may go back on the pill for another 3 months etc. The first 3 months that I took Adipex, I lost a total of about 16 pounds. The pill was great. Not only was it only one small pill to take once a day, it gave me good energy, made me alert, I wasn't tired and groggy throughtout the day, and when it came to food, if I could get myself to consume a little amount of food around lunch and dinner, eating whatever I wanted, I still kept losing weight! Now comes the bad effects... After my 3 months were up and it was time to stay off of the pill for a full month... In the first week, it was almost like my body went through withdrawls. I became overly tired, moody (more than normal), of course my appetite came back, and along with it, I gained 14 pounds back in the first week!!! If I wasnt depressed from the withdrawls and the tiredness as it was, getting on the scales daily to just see the weight gain come back in full force was horrible! I did make the decision to go back on the pill but this time, I wanted to do it the right way with diet and exercise. I am still very scared of the end of my next 3 months but im hoping that by dieting and exercising, that it wont be half as bad as last time. And if it is, then I will defanantly not go back to Adipex. The only way I could describe the way that I felt for the first week I took Adipex was feeling like I was on a illegal drug but the pill was legal. And the proof was real when I had the withdrawls from it. I wouldnt recommend this pill to most people. Talk to your doctor about the side effects and past outcomes with people's results. Its very addictive if you are prone to addictions.

K. Anderson,
Being that it's a prescription drug, you will need to get it prescribed by your doctor. And even if you could order it somewhere, I would suggest going through your doctor to get it.

I've use adipex 3 different times now. Im not super over weight, but when I need to drop anywhere from 20-30lbs I use adipex. I works Great! Each time I've used it,I've lost on average 21-33 lbs in a months time by following my doctors orders. The trick is a gallon of water a day, stay under 20fat grams, and excersice. Which I only did aprox. 20-30 mins on the tredmill everyday, weekends I rested.only side effect I had was constipation at 1st,but I was told 2 eat more fibers and that worked. And slight headaches, only because I wasn't eating like I shld, but I had no appetite what so ever.but u MUST eat 5-6 small meals daily. And to keep the wight off after reaching ur goal,is to cont. To count ur fat grams, drink lots of water.and lite exsercise. About 3	days a week is all I do. Any questions for me, feel free 2 email me @ natmico76@yahoo.com
